I wasn’t here in the beginning. But I think I’ve been on here for over 20 years. I did have a couple years in the middle where I was absent because life got in the way. I’ve been a member of a few different forums. JCF (Jackson/Charvel) was my first, Seymour Duncan, Carvin, maybe a couple of others. This is the only one I’ve stayed on the entire time. my wife frequently makes comments about me being on the Hamer forum too much. She can kick rocks. people come and go. Hamer production may have ceased (in the way we know and love), but y’all are always still here.

Oh, man…. That is going to be badass… I’ve been considering one of their Junior kits for a while but haven’t pulled the trigger yet…

Interesting video and some stunning looking Les Pauls being posted here. I don’t have the talent to justify the cost of a custom shop/reissue. My ‘23 standard is doing me just fine. I’ll wear it in naturally over the years. As of now, it looks great, plays great, and I’ve got a Gravelin bridge pickup coming in soon. Currently, I’m really digging the Burstbucker 2 in the neck. We’ll see what I think after putting the Gravelin in the bridge. It may get overshadowed and need to be replaced with something a bit more “more”…

I’ve heard of some similar issues with RS lately. Personally, I’ve bought a couple of wiring harnesses from them over the years and had nothing but good experiences with both. I wonder what’s going on…? 🤔

That’s a killer album and Gary Hoey is what got me into Hamers in the first place. The inside cover of Animal Instinct where he’s playing his Archtop Sunburst on the railroad tracks made me immediately fall in love with the brand.

Hilarious side note… At the exact moment I opened this thread, the end of AC/DC’s “Long way to the top of you wanna rock n roll” was finishing up. My 7-year old said to me: “that was a lot of noise”… I told him those were the bagpipes. He asked me what bagpipes were. And as I explained them, I just happened to look down into my hand on my phone and saw this cartoon strip staring back at me. 😂😂😂
