Hi Jeff - Need to start with the serial number, as that's how the logs are listed.

I remember "Serial" Steve Matthes had been compiling a list of serial #'s with some of them matched to musicians.  I don't know the current state of the list or if it still exists though.  There's always the Hamer book that was published years ago.  That has excellent references and info.

Steve is the only keeper of “the list”!

Is this guitar supposedly a 'custom' build from Hamer with Dave Navarro's name in transfer decal on the front of the headstock, or is it an 'off the rack' Daytona that could have been purchased new almost anywhere?

Define “Hamer Corporate”.  If it’s anybody who has been using the Hamer name since 2014, they’re not even remotely informed about anything related to Hamer USA.

Yeah, i know. Its like a ponzie scheme of shell companys trying to find anything. Eventually some company in Ct. said to come to this board. Wild.

Doesn't have a sticker. Seems custom as my knowledgeable  musican friends said it's tweaked. I also had a Modulus Blackknife of his that i sold years ago to collector. Modulus produced a letter of authentication in a few days on that one. Here they are.

How does one find the Hamer book? Thanks!

The Book

Don't recall a specific Navaro reference, but it's definitely a great book to own.

with Dave Navarro's name in transfer decal on the front of the headstock

That made me think ... my memory functions akin to old Echoplex tape cartridge, but in decades of hanging out here I can't recall ever seeing an artist's name as part of the transfer decal on any Daytona or T-51, aka the 6IL clear-over-maple F-style bolt-ons of the 90s.

Anyone have any examples of one of those specifically with a personalized logo?

That's a great line...can I use that?

The Kal David Daytonas and T-51s are the only ones I have seen with personalized logos.

The following Kal David T-51 is on the Hamer Workshop Blog

Here is a link to a "Custom Order" Kal David T-51 on Reverb.  I believe these were made for Kal and not an artist model sold to the public.

There are a few out there, but not many!

That was a long time ago and many brain cells have died since then…..but I vaguely remember we made a Daytona for him.

I don’t have any other specifics and I have no idea if the guitar discussed here is that one.
