Steve Haynie Posted March 12, 2025 Posted March 12, 2025 It would be more desirable without the autograph. Is Joe Bonamassa known for playing a Hamer Special? No.

No. It was probably their attempt at what they thought was the only way to make a generic Hamer Special appear valuable. Obviously, we Hamer fans see it differently. My stance on signatures on guitars - anyone’s signature - is well documented.
stonge Posted March 12, 2025 Posted March 12, 2025 Maybe if they inlaid Joe's name on the fingerboard that Special might rise to Epiphone pricing levels...

Steve Haynie Posted March 13, 2025 Posted March 13, 2025 In the video it is obvious that Joe Bonamassa was only acquainted with that guitar long enough for it to come out of the case and get signed. What was that? A minute? Why bother? Someone has bid $1400 already.

And this is why will always be better than AbbyNorman's Rare Guitars. Plus it's in the coolest state ever. No, really. It gets f***ing cold here.
RobB Posted March 15, 2025 Posted March 15, 2025 The longest month of my life was a weekend spent in Milwaukee.

Yes, like a video of said famous person signing the guitar and presenting it to someone. But sharpie sig's wear and fade in normal playing, and if you decide to spray clear over it to preserve it, make sure the clear doesn't react to the sharpie ink ( I have a story behind that one ). Me personally, I don't like autographed guitars which goes against my liking of autographed sun visors 🤷♂️🤷♂️
