Vive la HFC!

I’ve been waiting and so have you!
It has been five years, so it’s time to dive back in to your audio archive files for the Best of the HFC V!!
As we endure the jive of another holiday season, TBotHFCV will help us survive another long, hard winter.

Let’s strive to get the songs in to my email by December 31st, MMXXV.
For those that don’t make the deadline, do your best to stay alive for the next compilation because The Best of the HFC 6/Six/VI is due to arrive… Someday.

Send your audio files to kiz@hamerfanclub.com.
Be sure to include what Hamer instrument(s) you played and what HFC-ers are featured on the cut.

Covers allowed?

I say yes, but @cmatthes would know better.
In the past there was some issue with copyright BS, but it's not like we're YouTube.

Done. :)

Had to make the agonizing decision between a decently, semi-pro mixed tune and a self-mixed (i.e. shit) tune that I prefer for it's writing/structure.

Ah well. There's always TBOHFC VI.  :P

I’m not going to make a fuss over a cover.  😉

You've mellowed over the years.

There were a lot more concerns over litigation when Hamer was still a thing!

Let's get those songs in, guys (and girls, if there are any left here)!

As it stands, we barely have enough for an EP.

I ended up way more busy that I expected, mostly because shit keeps breaking around here. I'll see if I have anything older that sounds decent that may qualify.

So, this is a little off the "beaten path".  I sent Kiz a song for the last "Best Of".  All my stuff is from 1985 or before.  I only have the stuff on CD.  Now, I don't have a CD player unless I'm in my Lexus.  So, I need to know the easiest path to getting all the songs in a format that I can throw on a stick or easily post to the web.  Is there a service or do any of you guys know how to do this for me?

If I can get this accomplished, I can submit for this Best Of or the next one (hat tip to Mike).

In the immortal words of David Lee Roth", Look I'll pay you for it"...

I think XLD is free for mac and can rip to .wav or FLAC. You will need a cd or DVD player on your Mac,  but those can be had for about $30, the last I looked.

In the immortal words of Frito.   "I like money"   I can do it for you. Send me a cd or more and I will rip it and put it on a pin drive and send it back.  I am in central florida.  I was thinking of coming to the Orlando guitar show but that may be too late for this collection.  But if you have a Mac then buy a usb dvd player drive.  Connect it to the Mac and start up Music, or iTunes if it is an older Mac.  Open settings and choose the import format and put in the disc and Music will rip it for you.  It will store it in a folder in the music folder of your user account.

No Mac.  The "show" would be great.  I'm more interested in getting the old stuff in a format I can use.  I'm in Orange City, by the way.  DR

Due to unpopular demand, I am extending the deadline to January 20th.

Keep in mind: I don’t critique (I know… hard to believe), so don’t question if it’s “good enough to make the cut.”
If you submit it, I’m posting it.

Thanks to everyone who has submitted songs so far.

The rest of you, get to work!

As another from the retired teacher category, if I had a dollar for every time I had an administrator tell me to extend my due date/ waive my late policy, I coulda retired a few years earlier.  :P

Why shouldn't @kizanski, as a civilian, get to enjoy that loophole?  ;)
