Jakeboy Posted February 11 Posted February 11 (edited) Somehow in the December retirement prep hubbub, I missed this. Is this still open? Edited February 11 by Jakeboy 2 Quote
specialk Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Per Kiz: It has been expressed to me that maybe the small number of tracks submitted (6 so far) could possibly be due to HFCers having difficulty putting together a track "on short notice." Keep in mind, none of us is competing for a Grammy. If we were, I would win hands down in the Spoken Word category for my rendition of "Rubber Biscuit." How does February 28th sound? I happen to know for a fact that many of you have songs sitting on your hard drives this very minute. Rough mix? Send it in! "Not good enough?" Nonsense! Send them in! Email me kiz@hamerfanclub.com Your name and your HFC handle Who played on the cut What Hamer (and/or Shishkov) guitar(s) used The actual name of the song (not the file name, which is often slightly different). Last call: February 28... and I mean it this time! 1 Quote
Jakeboy Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I have several awaiting mastering. I’ll finish my “retirement song” and send it. Marking my calendar now. 2 Quote
kizanski Posted February 12 Author Posted February 12 So, here's some "Inside Baseball" for you HFCers... My account on the WordPress/HFC site is F-ed, so I can't create the page until it's all worked out. I was working with Ted on this and he is not pleased with the web host's lack of urgency in fixing a number of issues, namely my ID and the barrage of 503 errors we had last week. One agent told him, "The page is still loading in under 10 seconds," implying that was an acceptable page load time, when in Internet time that's an eternity. I do have all of the songs, though. When my ID is fixed, I'll get back into it. 4 2 Quote

Last call: February 28... and I mean it this time! Damn I just saw this thread now. I hate these pinned posts. I never read them. To the admins: how about letting the posts run for a week or so first in the usual flow of posts, when they are "fresh news". And then pinn them at the top after a week? I will try to make time to record something really simple and have it ready for the 28th, next weekend. It will be really simple, I won't have time to write anything great specifically for this, or to mix it like Matt Wallace would mix it. If I get something on tape if will be something really disturbing. Bear with me. 2 Quote
Jakeboy Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I just finished mastering mine. What file format do you prefer, @kizanski, WAV or MP3? Quote

Dutchman Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Trying to get some rough tracks ready to go. Hopefully today! Is the 28th a dead stop? Quote
Jakeboy Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Just sent a second track (rough mix blues-rock instrumental)if needed. Quote
kizanski Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 Keep 'em coming guys. I can't edit the page due to the domain host's SNAFU anyway, so I'm in limbo at the moment. Quote
Dutchman Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Got 2 off, cheap gear, total garage band! But it's music made with Hamers! 3 Quote
Disturber Posted March 1 Posted March 1 I just emailed the worst song ever known to man. Let it be heard on the HFC. Lock up your children. 8 Quote
