Rechts Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Body is from a guy on eBay that does them in his home shop...his handle is "100mph". Highly recommend his work. Pro job at a fraction of the Warmoth price. The paint is rainbow micro metalflake. Looks blue in the pictures, but I think that's because the camera just can't handle the insanity of the pimpsuit explosion when the light hits it. When I took it outside the shop to see it in the sunlight, 2 rescue helicopters zoomed in, and a search party emerged out of nowhere, looking for some retarded boyscout that had wandered away from a jamboree out in El Cajon.PUs are a JB & and OBL. One knob, push-pull.Fred Marotta at the Repair Zone in San Diego did the build for me....his paint guy specializes in metalic finishes. These guys really know their shit, too. They do stuff for major touring acts, guitars by the dozens. The jack is on the side. The setup is liquid. Plays like the shredder it is meant to be. You'd think the neck is scalloped, it's so damn touch sensitive. Can't wait for my next jazz improvision open-mike night.

Pro job at a fraction of the Warmoth price. They custom made this Tele body for me a few years ago. Two ply bound (front and back), rear controls, and 2 'buckers. Very good work and very inexpensive. (I made the icky control plate).
Rechts Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 TWO knobs? And a SWITCH?Did you go to MIT or something?
kizanski Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 TWO knobs? And a SWITCH?Did you go to MIT or something? That was back when I was on the whole Schecter PT Tele kick.I'm over it now.I think.
Rechts Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 See, my new thing is to use the guitar as a defensive mechanism when the crowd begins to assess my lack of ability. It used to be that I could use the thing as a vegetable shield, but now I realize I can blind them, too, while I take evasive actions until the end of the set.Sort of like the chaff that attack aircraft use as countermeasures after they've engaged the enemy.
cmatthes Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 JT: VERY cool! I'm loving that finish and the 3 coil deal. Subtle...like I like 'em. I've got a tele body from the 100mph dood - he was very reasonable, and did it to my specs in record time. It'll be great when I actually finish it. Holoflake is a tough finish to photograph - it freakin' rocks.
Guest pirateflynn Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 The latest addition. Needs some wo- wo- work ........ but man is it cool!
ZR Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I couldn't find that guy on ebay. I mean there was a 100mph guy but it wasn't guitar stuff.

It also makes my heart beat a little faster as well.If I can not have it I may have a hard time sleeping tonight. All jokes aside you have a keeper there for sure.

Jimbilly Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 I bought my wife a Pentax m10 dig camera a short time ago, I NEED one for myself, kick-a$$ camera for $160. I need to update all my guitar photos now, like this one:

kizanski Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 This is FRESH porn, just made the deal 10 minutes ago.... THAT is BADASS!!
serial Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 WOW-NICE!!! Hamer's records are pretty spotty until #7 0080 or so, but I know that they've pretty consistently maintained that the first "custom color" Sunburst was Martin Barre's black one (#8 0160). I guess natural isn't really a "color"-I'm aware of a slightly earlier one (#7 0041). Damned cool!
