BruceM Posted August 20, 2006 Author Posted August 20, 2006 Holy crap, what a night! No one puts on a jam like Bruce.Everyone was in great form last night, but Jeffro and BillW were especially on fire. I'm off to the highway. Tons of fun. I needed that. I miss you already, big fella! Drive carefully, and hurry back. October is just around the corner...
BruceM Posted August 20, 2006 Author Posted August 20, 2006 You're gonna have to pry this one out of my cold, dead hands! Dave and Joe in action.
BruceM Posted August 20, 2006 Author Posted August 20, 2006 Everybody was raving about the latest installment of the Badgercaster. This guitar smokes! The inner diva takes over. Who told this dude he could SING? A rare 4-3-2-1 Club appearance by BillW injects new life into the party.
kizanski Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 And the Community Coffee is just what the Dr. ordered this morning. Thanks Jeff! The CC Red Bag: Good for what ails ya!

kizanski Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Agreed....these two ripped all night, but especially kicked ass when playing this: Damn, REE-shard! Jambalaya kicking in?
Jeff R Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 That's not a guitar face - I was reacting to being told I had to share the purple one. LOL!Wow, what an evening. What a fucking weekend. I could honestly keep you guys reading for a while with just the shit I remember (we emptied so much aluminum, I could fund my way back to the swamp via recycling). Holy shit, what an experience.Quick observations:-- BruceM is the ultimate host, the perfect ambassador to his home city and one of the absolute coolest guys on the planet. And the 4-3-2-1 Jam: Fellas, the notoriety on this board is well deserved. A "must-do" experience for all HFC'ers. Make at least one in your lifetime.-- The Minneapolis area chapter are a bunch of incredible musicians and even more incredible people. I had so much fun just shooting the shit around the grille and the kitchen with all these kind folks serving up the Cajun goodies. I tip my Millah can in thanks to all of you, and next time I'm gonna catch that damn rabbit runnin' round Bruce's backyard and I'm stewin' his ass Cajun-style.-- "The Cat's Fuckin' Ass" guitar honors for the evening is a tie between the purple Studio Custom Custom Custom Custom and BadgerDave's newest homebrew tele-from-helly. Ebony board, double bound hollow body tele with Bardens. Good god, it vibrated your ribcage it was so resonant - I was offering to buy it off him before I even heard it plugged in. And I gotta give an honorable mention to Bruce's silver Standard, which probably fueled the first Hetfield runk-chunk rhythm display in 4-3-2-1 Jam history.-- Got to finally meet our HFC Den Mother, Ted. I can't express enough gratitude and appreciation for all that you do for us. You are the man.-- Last but not least, The Muse. The Motha-Fukken Muse. I don't know where to even fucking start with this crazy bastard, he needs to change the "MC" in his handle to "MF." Fucking priceless experience of a weekend I'll never forget. Thanks so much, brother.
BruceM Posted August 20, 2006 Author Posted August 20, 2006 ... What a fucking weekend.... Holy shit, what an experience....-- Last but not least, The Muse. The Motha-Fukken Muse. I don't know where to even fucking start with this crazy bastard, he needs to change the "MC" in his handle to "MF." Fucking priceless experience of a weekend I'll never forget. Thanks so much, brother. True story: I talked to my neighbor Carol while carting the recycling out and dusting the bannister on the porch rail (for fingerprints) this morning. Carol bravely keeps her windows open for all 8 hours of these jam sessions when the weather's nice. She's a 69 year old saint, and she claims that the "music" doesn't bother her. Here's what she said: "Your friends are so nice. I never hear any swearing out there." I'm all, like, "Huh????" and shit with her then. "You've got to be kidding me! Some of these dudes have Tourrette's Syndrome." Selective hearing, I guess.
earachemyeye Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 No doubt. Gentlemen we were LOUD LOUD LOUDER THAN HELL last night but man was that fun. Bruce I'm glad you got good people livin next door to ya. I'll try to keep F#*CK! the S$#T! swearing to a G%*$DAM*^#T! minimum. It sure was nice to meet JeffR and his spices. That was a feast bro. +1 regarding the players, you guys tore it up. I agree with JohnnyB. Give the guitar to Bruce Almighty, he deserves it. Joe
Eric Weston Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 DAYUM!!! looks like a pretty good time in Mpls.....We had a rippin' gig up north but I'd have rather been down here with you guys....can't wait for Oct. How did BadgerDave bond with the Floyded EMG guitar ????
BruceM Posted August 20, 2006 Author Posted August 20, 2006 I'd have rather been down here with you guys.... Hey Eric, and anyone else that might be interested. Jeff and I are going to hit the town again tomorrow night (Monday). We'll likely grab a bite to eat and then head over to Bunkers to check out Dr. Mambo's Combo. For those that haven't seen them, they're a great R&B/Funk band that's been an institution at Bunkers for years. They PACK the bar on a Monday night every week... Email me or call me tomorrow if you want to hang out. You really should spend some time with a cajun while you've got the chance. Never a dull moment!
belgian Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Is that the concept ,Bruce, keeping on partying.... looks great for October !!! So it will be the 7th- 8th- 9th and 10th....
BruceM Posted August 20, 2006 Author Posted August 20, 2006 Is that the concept ,Bruce, keeping on partying.... looks great for October !!! So it will be the 7th- 8th- 9th and 10th.... You've got to go out when the people are around, Conrad! That's the way it works. You should expect nothing less if you make it here. Does your message mean that you've booked a flight and are going to be here for four days? I hope so...I'll show you what I mean. Some people have trouble keeping up with this 50 year old!
Bruiser Brody Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Awesome! Looks like a great time!! RAWKKKKKK!!!
BruceM Posted August 20, 2006 Author Posted August 20, 2006 I checking it out Excellent! Keep me posted. I'll reserve the spare room for you if you need a place to stay while you're here. Let me know...
robbie Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 This week I was trying to think how I would post to the “Things that make you smile” thread. I have a lot to be thankful for but yesterday standing in the kitchen while Jeff was “waking up” the sausage, I realized that I was going to be kicking back a few beers, having a Cajun feast and then jamming with my Hamer brothers and I could not think of a better place to be on the planet. I can say without a doubt that one of my best decisions in the last five years was going to my first 4,3,2,1 jam. Bruce, thanks for all you do and thanks for having us… wow, thanks!!! Jeff, thanks for the Cajun food, the conversation and the screaming leads : ) I will never look at a bunny rabbit the same way again… MC, you will make a man out of me yet… the “Young Republican Rhythm Section” will play again… ; ) To the rest of ya’all good jamming and see ya soon.
BruceM Posted August 20, 2006 Author Posted August 20, 2006 I'm not sure what was going on in the living room last night, but I found this telltale evidence between the sheets as I was cleaning today. If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know.

If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. It was somebody's industrial goth guitar strap. Yeah, that's the ticket.
edgar_allan_poe Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Hmmmm...looks like the construction worker from the Village People was at the party...
pesocaster Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Cool to talk to y'all! If the stars all line up correctly next year we will jam in my studio!Cheers!
Punkavenger Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 If someone could come up with something a little closer to Cali...My homemade pizza is far better than my guitar playing!
