Technically the Apache is not mine, but I do get to sit in the cockpit from time to time. Sorry to throw in non-cars, but aside from my 67 GTO that was a POS, the Audi has been my only cool car.

WAY back in high school, a guy who was a year younger than me, was driving his older brother's AMX. It was a really nice ride, and would scoot. There was an old gas station where all the pot-heads would hang out at. So, before school one morning, the dude pulls out of the station, and tromps it down. He let's the AMX get out from under him, and slides off the other side of the road into a telephone pole, and caves the whole right side of the car. C R U N C H !!! Needless to say his older bro was UBER - PISSED. Ah, the good old days. It looked quite similair to this one:

Punkavenger Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 My latest project .... 84 corvette looks stock on the outside professionally rebuilt 355 with edelbrock aluminum heads, Comp cams roller cam, long slot rockers, "x-ram" intake manifold, bored out throttle bodies and higher flow injectors, stainless steel catback and catalytic converter, high flow aftermarket fuel pump and upgraded computer from a 89 caprice cop car. on the desktop dyno it has between 340 and 370 hp ... easily over 400hp with a good set of headers (and thats with all the Cali smog hooked up)

briane Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 I haven't taken any digital pictures of my Chevelle since I restored it myself (frame-off) a few years back. I should scan some of the old photos I took when I was 18. That was more years ago than I'll confess to. When I bought it I really didn't know what I had. I did get a speeding ticket within 10 minutes of putting the plates on it, very first time a rammed it through the gears I went right through a speed trap. Now I wish I had also kept my guitar I had owned at that time.

Close to 800 on the engine dyno with the carb setup on pump gas. Numbers which mean that much more to those of us that have had disappointments at the track and on the dyno versus speculation. Six speed stick and way too many other options to list. He did pretty much everything but the body work from the ground up, custom fabrication for the suspension, trans, etc. Other than the machine work he did all the motor assembly. The last motor he had in it (Which he also built) was a 460 (race fuel) with a turbo 400. Its best was 10.38 @ 128.36 1/4 mile. This is a full weight 3700# + car.

gerry Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 hi folks - this is my daily driver, a volvo 244 DL from 1976. i always liked the looking of those volvos and i liked the 1970s colors. if there is anything to repair i screw it off and replace it with other old volvo parts. i stopped spending money on cars and put it instead into guitars.
