Here's a bit of fun for yas, a picture of the brood with my latest acquisition, a 1982 Special. You've all seen the other two before, and I posted a thread about the Special when I purchased it in November last year, but I've only just taken photos of the whole lot together.

The Sunburst is 7 0094, the Standard is 0332, which I believe is from 1980, and the Special is 2 6299. I recently changed the knobs and switch tip on the Sunburst from the original black.

Enjoy B)

Now we're talking!

What's the neck like on your '77?

I suppose it's a medium thickness Ken, pretty much the same for the other two. It's certainly nowhere near as thick as the '96 LP Studio Gem I have. Hey, I like your latest 77 Ken B)

Waw, another digger with an incredible trio.

I guess there aren't that many B&C '77 Sunbursts and then two pop up in a week !!!

There's something special about the finish on those '77s.

I like those 3 a lot. Nice. If anyone of them wants to run away from home, I'll be happy to take 'em in for Three-Fitty.

While all three are reall wonderful, I LOVE that Standard!!! WOOO HOOO!!! B)

those '77 sunbursts are quite the rare bird.

strong work and nice little, but huge guitar family.

Thanks for all the comments fellas. I would really like to know how these guitars got to Australia in the first place. The Sunburst I've owned since 1984 or so, bought it used from a guitar shop, which also sold new Hamers. It was pretty much in new condition, and I've more or less maintained it that way, apart from a couple of finish nicks.

The Standard I bought in 1999 from another shop, and the Special I bought online from a dealer in Melbourne Victoria. It apparently was brought into Australia as a promo in the early eighties, and so is supposed to be one of the first Hamers in Australia.

And that's all I know. I'd really like to know their prior history, but in the meantime, I'll just enjoy them.

What is the consnsus on the infamous mid range honk?? Is it on the standard?

Seemingly I got rid of the honk with a Boss EQ. but I could be imagining things.
