BCR Greg Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Made of SUPERLIGHT Fakimba (similar to Korina, but lighter and more resonant), with an ebony board and gold Rio Grandes.... Handmade with top quality bits, not much bigger than a Strat and cooler than a copycat guitar..... On it's way, should be here early next week.
bruce919 Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 I like the Korina but it needs a different headstock.
BCR Greg Posted April 18, 2008 Author Posted April 18, 2008 It's a machete body turned over, with Firebird style single 1/8th in center elevation instead of the Machete's 3 different 1/4 in elevations. It's Gibson scale, as well.
David B Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 I like the split headstock. I like the green finish on the other one.
Guest pirateflynn Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Greg has said in the past that you can order different headstocks with this guitar. 3+3, split, reverse .... all of the above. Place an order that way. This guitar is cool the way it is. Robin Guitars have something special going on.
MCChris Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Gents, a reminder from the FAQ section:Don't step or crap on someone's "For Sale" post. This includes comments pertaining to an asking price which you feel might be too high, that you also have one of these for sale, or your general dislike for the model or brand of the item in question (or for the seller for that matter). Also, do not make offers, lowball or otherwise, as a reply in the poster's thread. That's what the Private Message feature is for.
BubbaVO Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Those oval pup rings are interesting. looks like they could handle your humbuckers or dog-eared P-90s without having to perform too much surgery. Is that right?

hashu Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Man those fleetwoods are super hot. And I live in houston. I should be at the factory drooling in my spare time.
BCR Greg Posted April 22, 2008 Author Posted April 22, 2008 We get together at the factory each year, you'll have to hook up with us this time.
BCR Greg Posted April 26, 2008 Author Posted April 26, 2008 It's even cooler than I thought it would be.
JGale Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Nice shot of the grain. Is that still that Sony you're using? Almost looks super-saturated or what ever that process is for bringing out deep colors. I know, I know, It's all talent and light.Jealous I yam. No photography skillz do I.And I like the headstock. Entirely appropriate it is.
BTMN Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 That looks cool. Can I see a closeup of the face of the headstock from the first fret to the tips please?
