MCChris Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 I fully realize that what I'm about to say is bullshit, but guitar-wise I am not wanting for anything. All of these get played, and they've all been tweaked to my satisfaction:
cmatthes Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 It's good to be the king. You have pretty much everything you need then.Except an Electric 12......and something with a P-90......and a fretless bass......and a hollowbody Bigsby thing...(then again, if you don't NEED those things, life is great!)
ET_KenW Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 I'm just jealous that you have enough room to set a rack that size up. My double guitar stand is next to my dresser and blocking access to half of our closet. Boy do I get to hear about that every so often. LOL
MCChris Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 Except an Electric 12......and something with a P-90......and a fretless bass......and a hollowbody Bigsby thing...Well I've arrived where I am now after much experimentation, and have ruled out all of the above. Although I only have real world experience with P90s; the rest I know for a fact won't work for me. The natural Strat has Rio Dirty Harrys in it, which get me close to the P90 vibe. You also don't see an acoustic in my collection. I have no need for one of those either. Can't make enough noise with 'em. Haven't owned one since I got my first electric in 1980.
Guest pirateflynn Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Can I get a shot without all those guitars in the way?
MCChris Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 Can I get a shot without all those guitars in the way? LOL you love it, don't you? Is it the couch or the lamps?
Camstone Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 I couldn't help but notice that there's a lot of belly cuts in that photo! How's the beltline?
sw686blue Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Can I get a shot without all those guitars in the way? LOL you love it, don't you? Is it the couch or the lamps? That lamp looks like it's straight out of a '70s porn movie! Did you steal it from the Playboy archive stockroom?
Willie G. Moseley Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Contemporary-style sofa, Spanish-style lamp---mis-matched furniture styles, but both strong around the same era (ca. 1973)... The camera doesn't show the end table or coffee table, but I'd bet it's a Spanish black oak style (lotsa curlicues) with crushed-velvet inserts, probably gold, to coordinate with the green lamp base---if it isn't, it should be.If the Communists had ever taken us over, the first people they woulda lined up against the wall and shot woulda been the fashion designers and the interior decorators.
Guest pirateflynn Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Can I get a shot without all those guitars in the way? LOL you love it, don't you? Is it the couch or the lamps? Why do you naturally assume that it NOT the wallpaper/panelling? I need some retro stylings for my retro pad!
MCChris Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 Why do you naturally assume that it NOT the wallpaper/panelling?Because I can't take credit for that LOL!And the pattern is on the paneling/drywall itself, not wallpaper.
Guest pirateflynn Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Well, it works!nice guitars, too. Did you ever test drive the Filmore/ '59 combo in your new FM Special?
MCChris Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 nice guitars, too. Did you ever test drive the Filmore/ '59 combo in your new FM Special?Oh yeah, twice, including last Sunday. It's killer!
serial Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 You aren't done yet. That Cruisebass needs a white pickguard.
LordOfTheThighs Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 I couldn't help but notice that there's a lot of belly cuts in that photo! How's the beltline?
kizanski Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 For a guy that swore himself to be a minimalist, you sure have been filling up that stand lately...
MCChris Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 I couldn't help but notice that there's a lot of belly cuts in that photo! How's the beltline? In my case, those are cock cuts. Right back atcha, LOTT!For a guy that swore himself to be a minimalist, you sure have been filling up that stand lately...There you go again, taking the approach my wife takes and accusing me of saying something I never said. Besides, I could have two full racks like this and still be a minimalist compared to you.
Guest pirateflynn Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Never use the words minimalist and cock in the same post.

kizanski Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 What are the models for the Hamers? They're both c.1995 Studios. One wrapper and one tuna (and a Cruise bass, obviously).
