BTMN Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 It might be used but it wont be cheap. Welcome Cesar. Why are you selling your rare instrument? JORGE!!!! You reading these threads??
Cesar Jara Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 Hi Friends. Unfortunately this is my only Hamer. I am selling it with all the pain in my heart, but currently I am passing through serious financial troubles, and with a new born baby... believe me, when yo have to choose between your babies, it is not an easy desicion to take, but your children will always win ... I hope you understand me and please do not feel "used or cheap", I only log in here because I would like to sell the guitar to a person who loves her as much as I am, and take care of her.... and I am sure that I will find that person here ... Best regards! Cesar
kizanski Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 It might be used but it wont be cheap. Damn good point. ...I only log in here because I would like to sell the guitar... No law against that and you have to admire his honesty. I see there are no bids, so it's every man for himself. Post some photos, Cesar (other than what is already in the auction). Good luck.
BTMN Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Much love will come from your new baby so I see the need to sell your other "Baby". I'm sure all the used and cheap comments are with love and jest looking at whom have posted them.
Jorge Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 JORGE!!!! You reading these threads?? Yes, I am. I sent a message to the seller yesterday, asking for permission to check it out, I did receive response, I have his number. I will try to give it a look, and tell.

serial Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Yes. Those sure are some bigger photos! And they look GREAT!
Jorge Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 GO JORGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL!I went to check it out for you guys, I am not really into Virtuosos. I just realize that Chile is far away from many countries (and that Santiago is really large, LOL), and some people might be interested in knowing if the guitar really exists, and is like advertised.Well, exist it does, and if you are into Virts, it looks like a good one. I have to say that this is the first Virt I see, ever. Typical impecable Hamer construction. I may not be the best at spotting details, but apart from a small nick in the front (through the finish, but again, pretty small), near the Floyd Rose, it looks in great condition. The frets are excelent, the guitar resonates and sustains well, and has a punchy and rather brilliant (in a good way) tone, apparent even unplugged. It also felt rather lightweight to me.The action was medium-low, was relatively easy to play (taking into consideration the larger scale), and was set up with a new set of .09s.I dont't know what else to say, but if you have any other questions, I am sure César (we did not know each other before) will respond, or you can email/MP me, or even call me at (569) 9 895 8014. Our time zone, this time of the year, is the same as EST.
Cesar Jara Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 Jorge: Thank you very much for your "live review" , it was very nice to meet you And as Jorge said, please feel free to ask me anything about the guitar. I can send you anything that is suitable to be sent over the internet: more pics, sunds, videos, etc... Thanks to everybody César I dont't know what else to say, but if you have any other questions, I am sure César (we did not know each other before) will respond, or you can email/MP me, or even call me at (569) 9 895 8014. veatch Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Gorgeous. I'm sure it will sell and go to a good home. Wish it were to my good home, but it's healthy to want things you can't have, right?
Cesar Jara Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 Hi Guys: Just to remember to any interested person. The auction ends tomorrow June 17 @ 15:41:22 PDT Come on, this beauty can be yours! Regards Cesar
Steve Haynie Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 It will be fun to see the bidding in the last two minutes!
Submariner85 Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Very Nice Guitar. Good luck with the Sale.BTW I LOVE this part of the description in your auction:On Jun-10-08 at 07:02:57 PDT, seller added the following information:I would like to explain my answer to the question if the guitar have "sustain block": If the question refers to the Hamer bridge on a NON-tremolo guitar, obviously the guitar doesn't have it. On the other hand, the "sustain block" is also known as a part of the Floyd Rose device (as shown in this link)), and in this case the guitar does have it. Thank you. Some Ebayer's ask the dumbest questions.

Cesar Jara Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 It will be fun to see the bidding in the last two minutes! Oh yess, I think I will have to buy me a spare "F5" key...
Steve Haynie Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I expected this one to go for more. Being a new seller likely hurt the sale.
