Feynman Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Fact: I am not a Standard guy. In my excitement to give the Standard another shot, I ended up with the LOTT-Feynman-Gwayne Standard again. I guess this now makes it the LOTT-Feynman-Gwayne-Feynman Standard. After giving this some more playing time, I remembered why I passed it on the first time. I am going to now accept the fact that I just really don't dig the Standard shape for my playing position. I think that I like the idea of a Standard more than I like the model in real life. So, I would like to move this to another HFC member who will better appreciate it (and pay me money for it). I've got $1400 + PayPal + shipping in it, and that's what I would like to get for it. I think it's reasonable to call that price 'firm.' More details on the guitar in Gary's thread: http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=31059 Many pics here: Slideshow I will say that this is the best sounding Hamer I have played. The guitar is aesthetically beautiful. It plays easily with a slender neck, and is simply an awesome example of the kind of guitar that Hamer can build. I would consider a cool Tele(ish) as a partial trade option. Or a floorboard gizmo, or... Heck, I guess I'd consider anything, but I will probably be too picky to make it worth your time. :-) So, again, I'm Mitch, and I'm not a Standard guy. Damnit. ---
Ted Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 I have one just like it, and I absolutely love it!!! Enjoy it.
Crwth145 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Yeah, that's a nice one alright... gotta' love that subtle burst...
Feynman Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 How in the heck does such an awesome Standard get to page two? The times, they...nevermind.I'm leaving town Sunday and won't be back until New Year's, so I won't bump again for awhile after this one.
sw686blue Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Mitch, I wish that I could take that off your hands!

I'm going to throw a Kahler on one and probably relic the other...No problem bud! Enjoy them. I still think that you should convert one of them to a Steinberg model.
kurtsstuff Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Yup....I'm with ya......Only took me 3 standards at around $8000.00 spent to realize...I'm not a standard guy.....I wanted to look as cool as Eric but didn't happen.....
Siaip Ciuvas Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 I AM STANDART GUY, BUT... Theese guitars a MASSIVE, and the case is even bigger. When I have to go to gig outside hometown my Riff waits for me at home. Sad, as it is the most convenient guitar shape for me. And looks cool even on me

Siaip Ciuvas Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 tell my car to grow up - if I put Riff there, rest of the band has no space
bubs_42 Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 tell my car to grow up - if I put Riff there, rest of the band has no space They can just stick out there Thumbs.. They just have to start out a little earlier.
Siaip Ciuvas Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 brilliant idea! As well they could use bicycles to get there but I'm good with Monaco Elite I've got from Mindseyes on outside gigs
Feynman Posted January 1, 2009 Author Posted January 1, 2009 Back in town, and this fine beast deserves an HFC home...Also, I want a different guitar, but I'm waiting until this one is gone, so, like, hurry up!
