veatch Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Fookin cool: eBay - Holo Skull Cali Not mine, and don't know the owner (unless it's one of ya'll here...) Love the add. Seller doesn't sound too motivated to sell.
BubbaVO Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Fookin cool: eBay - Holo Skull Cali Not mine, and don't know the owner (unless it's one of ya'll here...) Love the add. Seller doesn't sound too motivated to sell. Willing to bet the seller is trying to appease his wife. Price it so high that no one buys it, but it gives him cover to keep it and argue that he tried. That's a shrewd operator.
cmatthes Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Yeah - it's pretty obvious that he has no interest in selling. He is right about the single HB being quite rare.I'm not sure I believe that he paid $3k for that guitar in '89 though. Not unless it was CDN$$ and the exchange rate was $1CDN to $0.50 US$ or something.

I mean, does his wife somehow lack the ability to go to eBay and see how full of shit he is?!? -Austin
Chi Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 yikes...$10k? Love the graphic...but really wouldn't fit in the project I'm in right now. ...and I don't have $10k burning a hole in my pocket.
Brownsound Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I wonder how much crack comes with that guitar for 10 G's
cmatthes Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I wonder how much crack comes with that guitar for 10 G'sIt would need to be at least $8k worth.Just sayin'...

That's a shrewd operator. Yeah screw that. Find out who he is or better yet, the wife and contact her that your the guy that told her husband you'll buy it for $1,500. She gets the cash and you get the guitar. $10,000 well that is almost as bad at that Korina pair in Chicago for $25K Hamerica
Jason01 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Thats a good idea! just find his wife and put out a reasonable offer to her! That graphic is really cool without the neck pickup.

Price it so high that no one buys it, but it gives him cover to keep it and argue that he tried. That's a shrewd operator. It's been done before by one of our finest. Obeetay with his Irtuosovay.
Feynman Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Probably just figured its worth at least five times as much as the $2000 import one.I really like "thanks, and please don't buy this guitar."
prototype-fan Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I think this is the same guy who tried to sell a Hollow Skull back in 2006 for $100,000: http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.p...mp;hl=holoskull
Brownsound Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Sounds like he needs to tell wifey to pound sand. She probably wants it for something stupid like the mortgage.
