Always Broke Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 For the love of all that is good, is this thing still homeless? PM sent
BCR Greg Posted July 18, 2009 Author Posted July 18, 2009 Just back from the woods. It's had some close calls but no serious buyer has stepped up.
QC Smitty Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I find the typical Hamer tops boring, actually. They seem to like figure that looks like corduroy, I like the random figure that shows a variety of texture and color. +1
velorush Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Bumpdabeauty bump! Point of Information: www.bcrmusic.com is about the ONLY thing I use IE for (because it and Safari for XP don't play nice!). I went to the site last night after downloading the new IE 8 (yippee ) and the menus no longer worked as they should. The work around is to click the new "Compatibility View" button (future soapbox topic, to be sure) at the top of the IE window (next to the reload and stop buttons). After clicking this button, the site loads and functions perfectly.

BubbaVO Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Bumpitty. That's a whole lotta gorgeous guitar.
gorch Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 After 4 pages, I thought we'd never see it again.
BCR Greg Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 It's a sad economy when you can't give a way a cool guitar like this for $2599.
bubs_42 Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Thank God, over 4,000 views and finally a taker. There is some Standard Fever going around right now. Probly going to be bigger than "Swine Flu".
daa2202 Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 SOLD! I'm the new owner...and I'm happy to keep this beauty in the HFC family. Thanks to BCR Greg and co. for an excellent deal - they're nice folks (but you all knew that.) Here's what it looked like when I got it home (pictures don't fully do it justice):
The Shark Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Greg has filled my studio with incredible guitars. Georgeous guitar. Enjoy!
BCR Greg Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 What a cool guy. Thanks, brother. You are welcome here any time.
Feynman Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I'm not sure it would be possible to take a bad photo of that thing. That is one gorgeous Standard right there.
Guest pirateflynn Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Gorgeous guitar! Thanks for the pics and ... welcome!
Bloozguy Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Believe it or not, this is the first time I opened this topic and looked at that guitar. I didn't think it was a safe thing for me to do...and now I KNOW it wouldn't have been!Amazing looking guitar...congratulations!
killerteddybear Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I had that guitar in my hands (well, not quite, Greg hung onto it) last Friday when I visited Greg's shop for the first time. It (the guitar) is truly stunning. So is BCR Music - thanks for the tour, Greg! And congrats to the new owner of that Standard!
veatch Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Congrats on a gorgeous guitar! Greg's good people. But i still see the Michelin Man in that figured top....
gorch Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 What a gorgeous top. Is anybody to honor the tree for its beautiful grain? Where did it grow? We should know about this, shouldn't we?Fellows, anytime in the future this one will be for sale again. I'll be waiting patiently and hope prices are down when this happens.;-)
bpwilson Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 I almost bought it to go with my Standard, but bought a couple of Dean TCZs. Love that angel quilt.
