She'd be upset if I got rid of my fretless MIJ Fender Jazz Bass...of course she bought it for me! I alerted the local music store that they were to call me if they got one in used or consigned. They called my home #, she took the call and bought it for me!

My Newport, and its better half, the Mesa/Boogie DC-10 that makes it come alive as no other. As for me, I'd never get rid of the G&L ASAT Classic semihollow ACSH), because after 28 years of separation and 6 years with no contact, she found me through the personal profile I had on www.guitarsbyleo.com. I couldn't part with the ACSH because it plays a part in how we found each other again. It's also a kick-ass guitar (as is the Newport).

I also would have a hard time getting rid of the Gretsch Historic Series Synchromatic. Even though she didn't buy it for me, she was going to, but I beat her to it. So I consider it a gift from her. For Father's Day this year she bought me the mandolin that was played in our wedding this past December. I wouldn't DARE sell that one.

There is not a more wonderful woman out there, at least for me.

My own pardner - she ends up liking them all... even the Vees, the Mockingbird, the Iceman...

But her heart beats faster for my (original) blonde Telecaster Thinline.

She actually stops to look at it... I bet one of these days she will ask me to give her guitar lessons!!! :)

My wife likes my Mirage I the most (and she absolutely hates the Parker), but she's learned not to get too attached to my guitars :)

She gave me hell for selling my '64 Gretsch, around 1992 or so.

The problem is I just couldn't get past how incredibly uncomfortable the neck was to play, and it seemed that no matter what guage of strings I used, they always seemed too large and stiff.

It's a shame, too, 'cause it sure had the sound.

I think she's seen too many guitars flying in and out of this house to have a favorite anymore. Although, when I unpacked the Uber Vector, she was heard to say, "Wow...fancy."

every time I've mulled moving the Virtuoso (to get something tastier) the Wife always intercedes, saying I'll regret it until the day I die. Perhaps she's right. But anyways, I wouldn't say she's particularly attached to any of the herd, she's just advising me on my judgement and looking out for me.

My wife couldn't pick my guitars out of a lineup.

That's exactly what I'm relying upon when smuggling something new into the house.

My wife has actually stepped it to stop me from selling a couple of mine, twice for my sunburst Daytona(i always seem to have a student that wants it), and once for my Hirade H8SS. It is an 82 and has been the only guitar I've had since before we 've been together that has stuck around this long.

I'm very lucky :)

Hehehe Good one,

My wife is getting used to the idea that another "Child" enters the family.

Before I bought this one I was looking to some other Ovations, she enters the room saying...well if you buy one then not that green one, and not a natural finish etc...

The ones she likes are my Special FM, my Vanguard, and most of all I guess My Guild acoustic guitar. I guess that is cause Michael Lardie plays them as well, told me to look for a Guild..... and she likes him a lot :)

I also tell her a lot about this board, that most of the players here own more then a dozen guitars....while this is my 9th guitar:)))

My 25th Anniversary. It is my first USA Hamer, and the guitar I have had the longest. She says it because everyone who tries it says there seems to be something special about it. I actually have to fight off the subliminal messages from a co-worker to sell it to him. LOL

I don't know, maybe it stole some Gibson's mojo. All I know is when I pick it up to play, two hours go by really quick, and I can't remember what the hell I have worked on.

That pretty much sums up the 25th Anniversary.

It's the little guitar that could.
