58s will have a bigger neck profile and unless the 58 was made in the early 2000s, it will have a plaintop.

Between $1,500 and $2,500, usually.

57Ri is the best bang for the buck, un-relieved body, classic looks, fantastic sound and I love the 50's neck profile. I love mine!

I'm not a huge fan of the LPF-wayyyyy too corksniffery and attitudinal for my surfing pleasure. YMMV, but I find the Mylespaulforum a bit more user-friendly, even if they do have a higher percentage of Harmony Central kids there.

I refuse to darken the door of the LPF. More douchebaggery than corksniffery.

MLP Forum is much more tolerable - cool, and has way less of the Agile-slinging Harmony Central children there than TGP.

yea, I think the max body blank weight on the R9 is 1lb. less than the R8.

Here here! I frequented that furniture collection group but couldnt handle the idiots. Guys would go on and on about how a vintage guitar looked but it seemed that sound was secondary. Not only do all LPs sound different, a lot of them didnt sound worth a shite. An old LP in pristine condition tells me that someone didnt think enough about the sound to play it much...

I particularly get a kick out of the ones paying another 20% of the total cost of their guitar to "upgrade" their plastics to an agreed upon "better" replica.

Or how they pay a buttload of money to have them "Murphy'd" or aged. Its hillarious!

"Oooh look everybody! My guitar looks just like a real musician played really hard for a long time!"
