Check on fleabay there was a guy selling Hamer branded soft holdalls on there which looked pretty good.

I have an ABS type briefcase picked up from fleabay for a few quid which carries all my bits and bobs around.

Small bulletproof American Tourister hard case from the 60s. Very Mad Men and about four bucks at a thrift store.

A small keyboard case will hold a lot without being overly bulky. Mine holds a Pedaltrain pedalboard, a fan, a Hercules triple stand, plus mics, cords and all the little stuff with room to spare. There's a ton of them out there. Mine was $30 or $40.

I use a backpack I got from the local Martin dealer for free. Any school backpack would suffice. They have zippered pouches and separate areas for cable storage , Mics and pedals etc. Handy shoulder straps too. I can fit 4 cables, 4 outlet extension cord, 2 mics, tuner, pedals and a small mic stand in mine. Shoulder the back pack, grab my mini 2 wheeler and I am off and running.

I've used the same pro camera bag for well over a decade. The padded compartments that separate and protect lenses accommodate pedals in a bulletproof fashion.

My pedalboard is in a pedalboard case along with the cables I need for hookup. Everything else goes in a soft briefcase/laptop case like they sell at Wallyworld for about 20 bucks. I got mine free years ago and it's starting to go, so I'm looking at something to replace it that keeps the stuff separated better and makes it easier to find stuff in a hurry. I'm looking at soft tool bags, but I haven't found one I like yet. It has to be big enough to store the Jameson bottle.

When I built my pedal board I designed it so that the deck flipped up on hinges and there is plenty of space for the wiring, power strip and anything else that I want to toss in (beer).

I also have a tween soft brief case, but it doesn't get much hardcore use.

The pedalboard is an ancient Whirlwind hard sided dealie and it's pretty well self-contained. Cables, mics, swirlygigs, towels, etc. go in a smallish duffel/gym bag. Tools, capos, tuners and other small stuff go in an aluminum-sided briefcase. I carry stuff for two people (me and Most Esteemed Redhead) and always like to have a spare of just about everything, thus the two containers.

Lowe's carries an aluminum-sided toolbox/briefcase that has pick and pluck foam in it. You can use it for delicate stuff or take the foam out of it entirely. It's deeper than my otherwise similar briefcase and would probably work well for a sturdy single box solution. $25.00.

For rehearsals I put my RP355 and doodads in a soft laptop briefcase. For gigs, I put the RP355 on my nycpedalboard and the doodads and guitar stands go in a duffel bag.
