marcnorth Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Hey Marc....did you get your green "V" as a medium or short scale? If you ever get tired of it keep me in mind...Green in MY color I ordered it short scale. I'm pretty short so I figured it would fit me better. I believe I'll hang on to it for a little while, but I'll keep you in mind.
Steve Haynie Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 mrhappy, you have a nice trio of Cruise Basses. I notice the one on the end is fretless.
Jack C Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I need some good pics of my B12A. I'm thinking about going passive with it although it's already a lot warmer sounding with EMGs than a B12L. Would probably sound REALLY good with passive pups.
mc2 Posted October 6, 2005 Author Posted October 6, 2005 My favorite sounding 12ver I own is the one too ugly to play out live. I think the triple-coil Bartolini makes a huge difference in the sound.
mc2 Posted October 6, 2005 Author Posted October 6, 2005 Hey Jack...here's a pic I have of you from the day you got your bass at the factory!!
Nuclear Wessel Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 JackC, I'm gaining a new appreciation for Pepto pink.
SirDouglas Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 only 1 missing from here is the 5 string usa cruise...... enjoy
BTMN Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 My 1983 Blitz refinned in satin clear. Saved the finish on the headstock to retain the serial number and Hamer logo along with a few of it's old battlemarks.
tafkathundernotes Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 I still get a kick out of this picture: (Courtesy BTMN, IIRC)
cmatthes Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 From the Rocketeria "Fantasy" collection From the Serial Steve "Seafoam" collection And finally, Mine:

Hamer95USA Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Hey guys, I want to join in on the fun here. These are old pictures when I first got the Cruisebass. The bass has been restored and is playable now. Here is my humble '82 Cruisebass: Guitar George
mc2 Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 this one...... HamerBassHead...It's comforting to know that the two most wacked 80s Hamer 12 basses (your snakeskin Standard and my pink snakeskin Scepter) are on LI. We should go bar hopping for Halloween dressed in Spinal Tap outfits ...maybe we should carry doubleneck 8s instead?? Here's the nicest Hamer LEFTY bass I've seen in a while (recently on Ebay)
mc2 Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 Hey guys, I want to join in on the fun here. These are old pictures when I first got the Cruisebass. The bass has been restored and is playable now. Here is my humble '82 Cruisebass: Guitar George George... Doesn't it make you laugh that we can buy a killer playing 25 y.o. Hamer Cruisebass for a few hundred bucks but for a Fender Jazz of the same vintage we'd need to sell our car to afford one? Besides the Hamer Cruise series, the next closest thing they've ever made to a traditional bass was the handful of FB basses they did.
mc2 Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 Jon,Try these: Posted 'em here before, but what the heck, it's a BASS thread, eh? Chris.... Ya know...you and your bro' Steve have an uncanny sense of color. If you guys weren't both married I'd start to wonder.... OK, speaking of shades pf blue...what we we all give to own THIS one ?!?!?!
killerteddybear Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 In the late 1980's I had use of a Chaparral 4 string for a couple weeks and I've never seen one since. Anyone have some photos to share?Otherwise, more of Jack C's fish...
