My daughter owns two dwarf rabbits, one male and one female. The female got pregnant and we put them apart, in different cages, because we were told the male could kill his offspring.
The female gave birth to three little rabbits, but now comes the weird thing:
After two months, the female gave birth again, to another set of three rabbits! As far as we remember, the male and the female never were put back together again. In addition, the three rabbits were females, so... how the hell did she get pregnant again? Or is it they "store" fertilized ovules until it's time to give birth again?
