ppreichm Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 This '94 Diablo is a recent acquisition of mine. It was originally offered as "excellent++" for $1000 and I ultimately paid $900 shipped. Unfortunately, its actual condition was not as described "excellent++", but rather is what I would describe as very good condition. I bought it on faith from a former HFC member, who is un-cooperative. It's not what I had bargained for and so not a long-term keeper for me. I DO think it is a quite attractive guitar, esp with the ebony and "boomer" combination (pictures shown below). The guitar is a deep blue (appears black in picts), the neck is a medium/slim C carve. It plays and sounds great. And I WOULD call it in "very good" condition. I would, naturally, like to recover my own actual cost, but am open to reasonable offers. Some details..1994 USA Hamer Diablo Custom 1 piece maple neck Ebony board with Boomers Schaller Floyd Duncan Nasgul bridge pickup Duncan 59 neck 3-way blade selector Master vol/tone HSC included, non Hamer please feel free to inquire any questions or concerns.. per comments below to list the price.. please consider it SOLD.

diablo175 Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 But... but, it had all six strings. In Brentville, that's the criteria for EX +++ condition. Actually, this is such a badass Diablo (he types as he alternates between the keyboard and the fret board of his green Diablo) I'm sorely tempted to re-acquire it. Unfortunately, I'm also adverse to divorce proceedings which is what would happen should I do so.
Bennyboy-UK Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Can you just buy it and look after it for me for a bit?

cmatthes Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 ppreichm: I'm very sorry you got hosed by that guy. Further proof of bad faith dealings from him though. Still, a cool guitar, and thank you for representing it honestly. I doubt there's many/any others out there like it.
ppreichm Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 thanks for your kind words.. To ALCON: I have added pictures, particularly those that show true cosmetic condition.. Honestly, please weigh in... I see the condition as very good at best.. Please know the original pictures posted were nothing like the detail shown in these..
django49 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 If I could just gel with a locking trem, we would be talking.......I am sure it would be fun. Love the ebony and boomers!
atquinn Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Here's my ad for the Diablo (I'm the one who sold it to BR). I described it as being in...very good condition. - Austin
ppreichm Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 Thanks.. ok, that makes me feel better.. we are on the same page.. the seller had some rather choice words for me when I raised the condition issue.. In my experience, every HFC guitar sold to me has ALWAYS exceeded expectation of condition when received.. I appreciate you all very much!
ppreichm Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 Thanks so much for kind interest and support.. The Diablo is on its way to an HFC Member and good home!
Armitage Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 You realize those little marks come off with a little polishing compound... just say'n.
Ting Ho Dung Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Surprised it still had the pickups and tuners when you received it, ppreichm Then there's the infamous Brent Rocks Sex Wax potted Tim Shaw pickup. That came to me and promptly got sent back.

No, didn't know that the marks could be buffed out.. may have made a difference
LucSulla Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I was actually joking about something else. Kind of a shine technique by a former owner.
