Orianthi: She's a squirrely little thing.

I love this lil pop ditty .

That video is from 2009 I don't think Sambora had spotted her yet. She was a Steve Vai disciple about that time. No relationship but she appeared with him and played his songs.  I would say those are her hands playing the song but it does look a lil sloppy at times. Could be dubbed in for effect.

People still fret-tap on NEW songs?

You've heard players that only add to the song what it needs?  She ain't one of em.

This, to me, is far preferable to anything I've seen from Orianthi (musically and aesthetically):

For me, Gretchen Menn passes the "listen test," to wit: would you listen to her music if it was just music (i.e., no video or photo)?  Takes the whole gender thing out of play.  Very talented and interesting music.  From April (and with Zorrow in mind):

Thanks for the tip.  Will check out more.

What kind of guitar is that? Looks like a EB Music Man silhouette, one of the Ball Family Reserve versions. Definitely some serious chops.

AND DJANGOOOOOOO. I love his stuff too. I worked on Minor Swing a bit. I think I need to revisit it. Currenty working on montagne sainte genevieve. Gipsy Jazz is where it's at.

Never heard of Menn, so thanks for sharing. Nice to hear someone slipping back and forth between styles, and someone who plays with a bit of swing.

You'd probably know her best from Zepparella
