1980 lemon veneer with nice flame. Most resonant guitar I have ever played with the possible exception of my Ultimate. Bought in here back in 2009 or 2010....

Skinny neck with jumbo frets that show almost no wear. 3 side dots at the 12th fret. 

Player grade for sure...prolly 6 dings with exposed wood on the rim and 4 little chips on the neck where the nitro flaked off. Cool checking but no worming or really bad wear. Front and back are clean.

Sports a period correct set of 1980 Dimarzio PAFs. Original pickup rings were slightly enlarged at the corners to fit a BL L90 set a few years back. Comes with fully functional OHSC. 

Very good condition (?) for a 36 year old guitar that has been played.

checkerboard on the control access plate is duct tape. If you want it off, thell me and I will remove it.

 

Sustainblock goodness. I can fly on this thing, but I reach for my Ultimate when I want bucker tones.

Man I woke up this morning expecting this to be gone... I absolutely love the subtleness of the color and the fact that it's not so obnoxiously flamey~ I really wish I could buy this but I promised myself that Scepter V would be the last guitar... "now I realize that statement is coming back to bite me in the ass"... 1K for this guitar is an absolute steal~ somebody should really buy this soon or I might just change my mind... do you have any more pictures you can post of this beauty?

You shouldn´t dump this guitar just because it has no binding around its body.

That´s what we have Sunbursts for.

Your price, Jake, seems not that much off, as I have payed the same amount in Euro for a comparable, same year and color, but all original one in August 2015 in Germany.

I am not in the market for a special, so feel as unbiased as i might be. Were i a buyer i would jump FAST at 1k. So much great guitar for that. 

 

Were i a seller i would ask a chunk more and wait.

Pre-Christmas bump for a vintage hunk of Honduran hog with a thin,  but beautiful figured maple veneer!

Did I mention that sustainblocks are the most comfortable bridges to rest your hand on whist playing?

Maybe I should jack it up a couple hundred and throw it on Reverb....

I played her through a Marshall just last night.....3 words spring to mind...ROCK and ROLL!
