crunchee Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 Looks to me like both guitars have a Duesenberg Les Trem II tailpiece: https://store.duesenberg.de/en/tremolo-systems/34/duesenberg-les-trem-ii?c=61
DaveL Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 I’ve sometimes found black stained to be hit or miss but that one looks killer.

Asking for a friend... ETA: the black one is spectacular!

Worked great, but my friend kept bumping his hand into the large thumb nut by the high E. Unfortunately, it drove him crazy. He’s now in a happier place.

I had one on my Artist for a couple years and liked it better than the Bigsby on my Newport. Smoother.a very, very good design. In fact, it will go back on my Artist when I throw some buckers back in.
topekatj Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 The black one is nice but with an ebony fingerboard would’ve been awesome.
svl Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 A Duesy Trem is an amazing bar, giving you the power to go from buttery fluttery Bigsby type play (but MUCH smoother with great control) to out and out divebombing action. And they stay in tune like no other on the market.

But see how the brown in the trans black, brings out the brown in the board? I had a trans black Monaco Elite and the Rosewood against the TB is very tasty.

Maybe Brazilian!

crunchee Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 They don't like 'em enough to keep 'em, though.
