duncans Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 I saw that picture too. What is that guitar? No name, no visable controls. Did I miss a thread on that. Curious mind wants to know.
Biz Prof Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 That's a wicked build by Paul Hamer. Related topic: Rick supposedly ordered a set of checkered Explorers from Gibson CS a couple of years ago, but I've not seen them out in the wild. WTH happened to those?

Cboss Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 Any further info or links on this instrument? It looks incredible
cmatthes Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 Paul delivered that one to Rick last year. Some unique features include the aforementioned lack of front controls, but more spectacularly, the black ebony and MOP inlaid checkerboard over the entire top/fingerboard and headstock.

bruce919 Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 the headstock just says break me , I dare ya. It is a very cool looking guitar. 😎
atomicwash Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 I was at that show on Saturday! It was at the Sylvee in Madison.

You have played so long you know the shape of the neck and don't have to look anymore. 18 minutes ago, Biz Prof said: Cue razor sharp snark from Kiz in 3...2...1... If you aren't really playing, then who the fuck cares what the neck looks like.... Amiright? 😆
HSB0531 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 It's night blindness. It's getting worse, and I try not to drive at night, unless it's a very well lit road. One reason I ordered the 12ver with 10 Victory inlays on the ebony board is so I could see them in low light....well...maybe that's not entirely...true...
