I was thinking instead of spending $400 more dollars I could run my Keeley Blues Driver into my Tri-tube and then into the DR and have essentially the same pedal as the Tube Driver in this video. Then I could see if I could run the Tri-tube into the Keeley and see if I could get the "same" reverse configuration like the Tube driver. Mostly I was thinking about just the Tri-tube to get the left side of the Tube Driver. What concerns me is the Zero watt appointment in the Tri-tube. I didn't know if that somehow would damage the DR going in the front. I would have to start with the attenuation and volume on zero and go up little by little. I've been running the Tri-tube in the loop of my Mesa Cali Tweed as normal. Not really as a third channel, because the Rhythm Channel of the Tri-tube and the Cali Tweed sound quite similar, but for convenience as the Tri-tube just sits on top of my desk where I can control it easily.

I think some people call this a Dirty Boost. It's got some gain, push, compression, and EQ changes. I'm tempted even though anyone looking through can see I'm selling thousands of dollars worth of pedals right now. Usually a sale like this means they're going to discontinue this model or maybe go to a new version. I've had a few J Rockett pedals. I think this is one of their old school builds that has the super heavy enclosure. Way overbuilt.

Sure. Keep in mind that pedal is more or less a blackface and tweed circuit for the 2 settings. It probably works better if you have an FX loop, which I am assuming your DR does not have. But if you set the DR to a clean (pedal platform) setting, you can effectively have 3 presets. The second channel can get you more into the D or M range, if that is what you are looking for. Very versatile.

The old argument: the sound of an actual rotating speaker/baffle moving air can't be done with a pedal. Yeah, you can get in the ballpark (Strymon Lex is the best I've heard in a live full band setting and made me rethink my AR112), and yeah you don't have to grunt another heavy cabinet, but that 3D sound won't come from a pedal. Leslies are magic.

Can I use my Tone King Imperial Tri-Tube in front of my Deluxe Reverb instead?

I am another user of the Motion Sound version. Has a built in amp. Back aways, I used it with a 1 x 12 Mesa combo amp and an ABY switcher. I did like the combo. Still does work, but I am not dragging it out for any place I am plugging in these days.....Yep, got a small box on the pedalboard.......

Effectrode (UK) has taken exception to Keeley's use of the name of their tube pedal. Nothing illegal I suppose. I am a big fan of the Effectrode pedals that (IMO) have been at the forefront of tube driven pedals (effects, as well as drive) quality wise. A bit more expensive than this one, but lots off great tone with the built in THREE preamp tubes. Worth checking out. Though my favorite is their Blackbird......

Meh. Dual horns are essential for that, "watery", Leslie sound, but it's just more gear to hump. Why bother when there are so many great Leslie pedals out there?
