  7. if the base plate mounting holes match up with the original bridge, I say go for it. Like Dave said above, check string spacing before purchasing.
  8. Just about any vintage style tele neck pup & a .05 tone cap can get you there. Also, adjust your amp settings, if need be. There's a difference between the drawn brass chrome cover & the more modern nickel silver one.
  9. Keb Mo is still using his on the road. Sounded great.
  10. Yesterday
  11. I'd forgotten about the Recording Kings. Very nice for the money. I'd also suggest a Taylor GS Mini. They play bigger than their size.
  12. That may be an option, brodie. The southeast is looking better and better when I retire from my union job in a few years.
  13. Goddamn Bubs, how much do you want to keep it? We can all pitch in like we did with Zen. Don't be a rahtard. I'm allowed to say rahtard. They said so in, "The Hangover."
  14. Sweet Mary, Madre de Jesus! that top is astonishing. .
  15. I'd contact them directly too just to check.
  16. Being rural NC born and raised, I always found the "Southern Rock" label to be a bit misappropriated. Skynyrd (and its spin-offs), the Outlaws, Black Oak Arkansas, and to some degree, MTB all had some fundamental similarities. Others labeled as "Souhern Rock" sound to me like other genres. ABB was more blues rock and jazz/jam band rock. .38 Special was a straight rock band. Molly and Blackfoot were redneck hard rock. ARS was bluesy jazz rock. As for the Mace sound, I think it fit Skynyrd's later sound quite well. Lots of power tube overtones.
  17. Got it off of eBay, if I recall. It was a standard model. I foolishly sold it as it had the modern (thinner) neck. At the time, I was getting hand cramps, so the thin-necked guitars all had to go. Figured out later the cramping was due to the statins that us old farts all seem to end up on. Taking a low dose of B12 once a week fixes that... The guitar was incredible. Very articulate. I put a pair of underwound Lollars into it that were perfect. I'm sure i put the originals back into it before selling. Edit to add - regarding the burst, in the late 90's, that seemed to be standard fade for a 59 burst. Very subtle, which I like a lot.
  18. That shot of the back... everything I love in a piece of mahogany. That's just beautiful! Great find!
  19. Holy shit, that's about as close to my dream CO Artist as you could get! What a great burst! Was that a CO, or limited run?
  20. Have you measured the string spacing?.. that would be the most important consideration in replacing the bridge saddles... have you contacted wilkinson?
