  1. Past hour
  2. something to do with lawyers who desire yachts, would be my guess
  3. You're opening up a whole political can of worms... 😒 As for Yosemite, it's freaking awesome, but I still wouldn't visit it because it's WAY overcrowded... perhaps it's just me, but when I want to visit a National Park, I don't want to stand in line waiting for anything... I just want to stroll around, hike, camp by myself, breathe in the fresh air, relax and let it all soak in
  4. If you're seriously wanting to know (and not just having a fun yet therapeutic rant): Proposition 65, passed in 1986.
  5. Agreed. Takamine isn't a brand I'm very familiar with and I think of them as more an amplified stage guitar but the Peak looks like it could fit the bill. I don't see the less expensive model available for sale used anywhere right now but I've got searches saved. So the contenders for now seem to be the Takamine, the Pono, and maybe Eastman? I don't have any experience with the latter but they at least have models that check all the boxes spec wise and the online retailers have new models in my price range so if it's not all that in person I can return it without issues. Also watching Sweetwater for damaged or returned Alvarez Yairi PYM prices but even then I'd have to spend more than planned.
  6. Today
  7. I was (almost) involved for a bit in a business and when they tried to ship to CA they ran into difficulties doing so because of package labeling. I did a little research and pretty much every product has to have a label on the package saying this product causes cancer in CA. You can't ship to CA without this warning on the label. So, causes cancer just in California and doesn't cause cancer in all 51 other states? I then noticed my Spectrum webmail has not one, but two California privacy labels. Don't move to California I said to my other self, you will die of cancer and all your secrets will be known. Now I don't know now if I want to visit Yosemite. Might just die of cancer with my secrets out of pocket. Which there are. Many.
  8. His playing on stuff like Heard It on the X and Manic Mechanic was crazy. Kind of a secret weapon like Michael Anthony. RIP.
  9. ETA: Frank hadn’t performed with Elwood and Billy for at least 9 months.
  10. I. His initial statement, BFG said that Frank wanted the show to continue.
  11. Such a shame. Aren't they currently on tour? I don't know if this was a sudden thing or whether Frank had been sick. Still, he had a good run, and made it a lot longer than so many of their contemporaries did. Such a solid player, and him and the double kick drums go waaaayyy back.
  12. Holy fug, that is sweet — that could be the deal of 2026 raught there!
  13. Good eye @velorush that is some sweet mahogany.
  14. Rock on forever Boys.
  15. Apologies for reposting this photo a second time however, I think that the resolution is better on this image, plus there’s so much here that could be easily missed at first glance: Dusty with his original Fender Telecaster bass, Frank wearing what appear to be bowling shoes. Frank and Billy sitting on the Kustom PA head, Billy cradling Pearly Gates, and lastly, the outline of the Marshall stack over Billy’s left shoulder. Thanks for indulging me. RIP Frank & Dust.
  16. Agreed... Great bass player 👍
  17. I have a LP Zen Drive black magic, which I like. Is the Warm version any quieter? Really good clone implies not much different, maybe something is somewhat different.
  18. The show goes on, it seems. Unless this is a hallucination of our AI overlords.
  19. There's something in the works.
  20. They’s some cool old geezers.
  21. What's the saying...? Oh yeah, "Buy from Bubs!"
