Sometimes the stars align, especially when you least expect it, and something special happens. I was browsing the classifieds of "Kleinanzeigen" (German "Craigslist") out of boredom in the middle of the night. I was already half asleep when suddenly ... I immediately contacted the seller by email. He was on vacation at the time, but after a brief phone call the next morning, he considered my interest in buying to be genuine and promptly removed the ad. After a short negotiation about shipping the guitars (which the seller initially didn't want to do), I received the two Vectors, undamaged, in one (!!!) cardboard box. And here they are:

Didn’t one of our Euro-members post a FS/PSA of two, flame-top Vectors in the EU? I’m pretty sure one had a ‘67 headstock/control config.

They are pretty uncommon. If you can find pics of more 67-bodied Vectors, that would be great.

I told him you had dibs on it. I know you like it. For now, the guitar isn’t FS. I would sell it to someone who does care, if I ever do. I know you care. 😉

My brother is 7 years older than me and had left most of his 8-track collection behind when he went to college. I worked my way through them and that was my first real "favorite album".

"Plays like butter" always puts me in mind of a locally infamous used gear seller who had a housefull of guitars and amps. I bought a couple or three there early along in my guitar interest resurgance, but it very much seemed to me that the seller must have invited buddies over in the evening and shared buckets of fried chicken as they passed the guitars around, they were so dirty and greasy. So - plays like schmaltz?
