And his support for the maker of those guitars is out of kindness, not profit! -

Pfffft: Other than a sometimes-questionable predilection for tuberesque guitar aesthetics, Nathan is absolutely good peeps. Ridiculous abounds. -
I categorically reject the accusation that I’m a scammer. The PayPal transaction was reversed by PayPal—not by me. I never requested or initiated a refund. As soon as it happened, I stayed in contact with the buyer, offered to resend the invoice and even reduced the agreed price by $300 as a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience. The buyer’s statement that my TGP account, username, or history has been deleted is simply false. My account remains in good standing. Making public accusations of fraud without evidence is irresponsible and damaging. I have nothing to hide and am happy to provide the complete email chain and PayPal screenshots to the moderators, which clearly show I acted in good faith throughout the transaction.

Nathan has been a member here for a very long time. A member such as yourself with 17 total posts is going to have to come across with something a lot more substantial than this. -

Did you pick it up, by any chance? Just wondering if it's a reasonable weight. The GC in Rockford had one that felt like it was 10 lbs. or more. -

That was so dumb it drained me of the ability to say something about it. The rest of my day is going to be spent trying to recover from being dragged down by that level of stupidity. You know, @Submariner85, you really ruined my day.

So sorry to hear, I greatly enjoyed talking to him about the LA scene, where he saw Guns and Roses pre Appetite and deemed them sloppy AF... and explained the switch from neon glam to more street (dirty biker chic). His sense of humor seemed like it was formed in rarified air... R.I.P.

Jay is awesome. I’ve never met him in person, but our worlds collided in many ways in California. He used to work the door at The Strand in Redondo Beach. We went to the same rock and metal clubs in Hollywood. He lived around the corner from me in the Berkeley Hills when he was going to school in the Bay Area. Though we never met face-to-face, I’m 99.9% sure that we interacted at some point (our HFC IMs seemed to bear this out…). I hope his journey to Valhalla is an easy one. Rest in power, Jay.

Hi Nathan, My good friend Peter Fung told me about this a few minutes ago. Sent you a PM -

Excellent Dana! 🤘

Even though I'm not a HFC-veteran, this news make me sad. I know you all for more than 12 years now and wouldn't trade that for anything. Too many good guys lost. Mr. Rechts, rest in peace.

I really hate to hear this. RIP, Jay.

I have a few pickups I'm going to try in the neck position. On top of the list is an OX-4. It's sitting on the bench right now. I bought this guitar because of Glen Buxton and it does great Buxton sound in the bridge. I'm not going to touch that pickup. I'm also not a fan of potted pickups and didn't know the '57s were potted. Makes no sense since they are supposed to be PAF style pickups. I watched several videos yesterday comparing SGs to LPs and they all said the SG is much more mid forward, hence Angus Young. One of my all-time albums of my youth was, "On Your Feet Or On Your Knees," BOC, which was all SGs back then as far as I can remember. Great tones in a band setting. Just not quite what I do when I jam alone. I can see how it would be great in the mix but that's not my thing right now. Thanks for your suggestions. If the OX doesn't chime it up, nothin' will.
