I really considered attending one of their workshops. Building from scratch and still may at some point. It's odd that their normal layout is like this Challenger but the Tribute isn't. I like the body shape of the Tribute better than this one.

Nice bass!! The only bass I've ever owned was a L-1000. It was a LOOOOOng time ago, probably when they first came out. Mahogany body as I remember, maple neck and fretboard. Beautiful bass and great sounding to my ears(hearing was better then than now!) I sold it to a buddy who later moved to Austin, TX. Fast forward, a couple years ago he posted a picture of a recent gig. He was still playing the G&L !

I've used Weller pencils 25-40 watt since I started soldering 50 some years ago. They've held Up well. Still using one.

Low effiecient speakers are nothing new or revolutionary.

I had a Princeton II years ago. Shared eq for the channel switching. Cleans were pretty good, blackface. The OD could be dialed in ok but it messed with the cleans. Somewhat Boogie-like. A better spesker would have made me happym but never tried one. A decent amp, I'd own one again for the right price.
