Last year on a good for Valentine's my wife and I went to a location that was doing the full table service Valentine meal there was a table of college guys and one of them got up to use the jukebox. The first song he played was What's New Pussycat so my wife and I have each other a look wondering if he had done it, he didn't. I considered for a minute walking over to his table, saying "watch this", and then feeding the jukebox ten bucks full of Pussycat and then one It's Not Unusual before going back to Pussycat.

I recently picked up one of those ( at least like the one in the video above, the ebay listing is gone. ) on a lark. $275 shipped. Maybe I'm being naive but I can't imagine anyone being fooled by it. For the price though it's godawful and I have enough random parts kicking around to upgrade it a bit on the cheap. If I do wind up selling it I think I'll Dremel over the the USA stamp on the back of the headstock and engrave China though.

I was pissed when Ryan discontinued the 1 3/4" nut. Feels great for my sausage fingers. I love my "Kustom" Single. I have a few old unfinished employee guitars kickIng around I should do something with namely a blue quilt top Custom Hollow with a korina body/neck, routed for Filtertrons, and a string through the body bridge.

I recall seeing a small Hamer museum at the last open house (the flying v bass, etc), Was that all stuff Jol owned or is it all going to disappear?

The template and pin for the pin router are on the back of the guitar. No question his skills are peerless and most likely could go sans templates but I can't imagine anyone would would want to rout anything freehand.

I pulled my 92 out the other night after not playing it awhile and boy howdy it sounds good but I kind of wish it looked more like some of my other guitars. It's got a couple little dents but it's in good enough shape I'm reluctant to refin so I'm keeping my eyes open for a project piece.
