There are a couple actual Buddy Guy docs. -
What do you use to download? All the downloaders I used to use seem to have gone away.

It was actually Bernie Torme first. He lasted about a week before bolting, then Brad came along.

The guys on And The Podcast Will Rock just dealt with that on their Patreon episode. They were using YouTube videos on their live YouTube feed, and they were getting warnings in real time.

Question about battery and power supply

You'd be surprised what can challenge me and a simple tool (although some would call that sentence redundant). -
Question about battery and power supply
alantig replied to Saul Goodman's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Don't know about the 18v thing, but the answer to the first question is...it depends. Some devices will cut off the battery if you plug an adapter in - maybe most, I'm not sure. Short term, it should be fine - if it doesn't cut off the battery, you'll find out soon enough. Long term, I'd worry about the battery corroding. -
This has "So I told her 'Yes, honey, I am trying to sell the guitars, but nobody's buying them, that's why they're still here'" energy all over it.

The statement from the Bad Company web site: "Mick Ralphs, the influential guitarist, songwriter, and co-founder of the iconic rock bands Bad Company and Mott The Hoople, has passed away at the age of 81. He is survived by the love of his life, Susie Chavasse, his two children, three step-children and his beloved bandmates Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke. He also leaves behind millions of devoted fans and friends across the world. “Our Mick has passed, my heart just hit the ground. He has left us with exceptional songs and memories. He was my friend, my songwriting partner, an amazing and versatile guitarist who had the greatest sense of humour. Our last conversation a few days ago we shared a laugh but it won’t be our last. There are many memories of Mick that will create laughter. Condolences to everyone who loved him especially his one true love, Susie. I will see you in heaven.” Love Paul “He was a dear friend, a wonderful songwriter, and an exceptional guitarist. We will miss him deeply,” Simon Kirke. Paul Rodgers of Free first met Mick Ralphs in 1971. After an inspired jam session and a mutual sharing of songs, Ralphs made the bold decision to leave Mott The Hoople and form a new band with Rodgers, and Bad Company was born. Adding former King Crimson bassist/vocalist Boz Burrell and drummer Simon Kirke, the band was complete. With the help of Led Zeppelin’s legendary manager Peter Grant, Bad Company became the first band signed to Zeppelin’s Swan Song label. The group’s success was meteoric. Their 1974 self-titled debut went five-times platinum, producing classic hits like “Can’t Get Enough” and “Movin’ On,” alongside electrifying rock anthems such as “Ready for Love,” “Rock Steady,” and the title track “Bad Company.” In a fitting tribute to the band’s enduring influence, Bad Company will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this year in 2025. Ralphs gave his final performance with Bad Company on October 29, 2016, at London’s O2 Arena. Just days later, he suffered a debilitating stroke and remained bedridden until his passing. Mick Ralphs leaves behind a powerful musical legacy that will continue to inspire generations."

I think I like this better than the Derek & The Dominos version.

The comedian Dennis Wolfberg told a great story on Bob & Tom about being invited to Woodstock and being excited to hear that the Who were performing because he loved songs like "These Eyes". Said he sat through their whole set, not one song he knew. Then, at the end of their set, he said, "What are these idiots doing? They're smashing their instruments and they haven't even played their biggest song!" He went on to say he had no idea the band's name was the GUESS Who.

RIP, sir.

You shouldn't have grown up. We still have fart jokes down here.

https://www.jimirsaycollection.com Huge collection, and wasn't overly precious about it - he was known to take the instruments out for people to use during his charity shows, and also to loan them to some artists coming through town. And also... RIP, sir.

No Love For Blackface Bandmasters

This thread has made me chuckle the last few days, not because of any content, but because on the main forums page, when it appears as the most recently active thread, it shows as And I think, "Man, that's an unfortunate hill to die on..." -
Years ago, I read about John Entwistle doing a bass clinic tour. He would play to preprogrammed songs on a drum machine. At one stop, the machine went haywire and was just spewing out random drum patterns, which he played with for a bit, then said, "Huh - kind of like playing with Keith Moon."
