With the dark paint you hardly notice the pocket unless you're looking for it. Of course its your guitar to do with as you please but I like it without the pickguard as well.

I agree with Kizanski, it looks great without the guard. Why not put a neck humbucker back in it since the damage is already done? The finish is too unique to refin the guitar so I'd just put a pickup in it, drop in the other knobs where the holes already are, and play the crap out of it. I pulled the hack job pickguard off my zulu scarab I with the same neck joint hole and you hardly notice it. I could make a block and fill it in and all that but I never saw the need. Perfect guitars are for guitar cases.

White duct tape covering the hole in the pickguard? I missed that on the first pics. There is a shop that makes the replacement pickguards...chandler maybe? REALLY cool GT there, I love the color combo.

I really don't understand why Geoff would pick those people to form a new band with if he wasn't into metal anymore? p.s. now THAT is how you have a proper band meltdown! I read all 26 pages of wiltons deposition. I would have pulled a Keith Richards on Tate and clubbed him with a guitar...

I bought a few things from them over the years, Hirsh was a great guy to deal with. Sorry to see them go but I saw the writing on the wall when they closed up the internet sales.

Is there any way too keep tracing it back and maybe figure out who stole it in the first place? It sounded like he lost a number of other guitars as well in that heist. If this one surfaced the others have gotta be out there as well. I love hearing stories like this, the HFC is the best place on the internet!

I wonder what that works out to be for every hour of his work on it? I know what he was going for with the finish but it looks more like "char" than "crow". Kudos to Jol though for making his dreams a reality.
