That's what I mean. Horns are tuned to flat pitches not sharp pitches. Why don't the tuner manufacturers understand this?

C# and Db played as a single note sound exactly the same but are not the same in the context of written music. And I hate that tuners always show notes as being sharp vs flat. I tune down to E flat not to D sharp. I mean come on people. There is only one major key that has sharp in the name but there are 5 major keys that have flat in the name. Must be a bunch of baroque dudes playing études in G# minor harmonic that build those things.

Let's face it. Tom can play any make/model he wants to and he is choosing Hamer. However you slice it that is just cool.

Button placement is the same on my Navigator Explorer copy, as it is on all Gibson Explorers. I thought I might need to move the button on the ESP, but it hangs fine on a strap, kinda like a big LP. I was comparing to my Hamer Standard which has the button on the back.

They put the neck strap button in the wrong place but the rest looks right. Wonder how many will sell.

I use the barden compensated saddles on the original bridge plate on my MIJ Fender JD Tele. Replacing just saddles is much less expensive and I have no complaints. And I like complaining.

The catalinbreads get along with each other fairly well and stack nicely. That formula 5 should make a nice foundation pedal to go with any other pedals if my SFT is any indication.

Between channels with gain and pedals, three total should be enough, maybe a fourth as a boost. Mind you this is just for show/rehearsal. For home/studio, just have fun Also some pedals "stack" so if you use pedals that can add another "level" of grit. Three pedals could offer six different sounds if they all "work" but I doubt anyone needs that many degrees of dirt for live performance. Using your volume control on your guitar can also change the behavior of the pedals, pick attack, wah, you get the idea. Rant over.

Actually, he never made them! I gotta read the book again. I mistakenly thought Monty cut the lumber and both Paul and Jol did assembly, painting, etc. must have been only Paul. Damn. I better study up for the pop quiz.

I am not sure. I am always learning new songs for the cover band but becoming better? I am not sure. I used to practice several hours a day when I was a music major but that was different skills. I used to sight read both treble and bass clef. Work on scales, fingerpicking, intensity, understanding the composition, comping in a 20 piece jazz band. Now it is rocking out in a 4 piece band playing recent pop/rock stuff. I guess the answer is no right now. Thanks Mitch. I needed to feel worse about myself.
