That looks like one of the earlier Kahlers that were used on Gibsons, not the Flyer.

You're probably right. It seems like the amazing finish is a strike against the guitar, since it would be nearly impossible to de-Kahler it and match the finish. At least that's my guess.

This.  If memory serves it started as a special order for Willcutt.  It's been for sale in Warner Springs for a very long time.

If it's at all like the one that was on my college buddy's Gibby Explorer, it's still a piece of shit. He bought it from HOG in Rochester NY and it could NOT be made to maintain tuning. At all. Probably what steered me away from Kahlers back in the late 80's.

Just my .02 but make it 2300 or 7300 Series or leave it alone (or put a 1996T, Original Floyd or a Schaller Lockmeister on it! )

Hey, I got an idea:  Buy it for 1/8th the price citing the butchery/asshat-ery done, remove the offending trem, add a standard bridge and a...wait for it...4th P-90 to fill in the rest!  Add a 16-way rotary switch and...err...never mind 🤣
