bry4321 Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 Edit: SIAP Hamer Standard $8,200 Warner Springs, CA
diablo175 Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 P-90's, the lower-end Kahler (Flyer?) and that knob selector switch? Hard pass. Nice top though!
scottcald Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 That looks like one of the earlier Kahlers that were used on Gibsons, not the Flyer.

Disturber Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 I think we've seen that one before? The Kahler is after market. Some dumb ass did that. Totally ruined a very cool Standard.

At least that's my guess.

DaveL Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 You would think by the mid-late 00's that we as a society would have EVOLVED to the point where we don't do this crazy shit anymore.
cmatthes Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 Not this shit again… It’s one of the Willcutt Special Runs, and either this or the last owner killed the value with that stupid fucking aftermarket Kahler. Good luck, meth-head…

mathman Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 I'd love to have it, I just wouldn't want to pay for it.

If it's at all like the one that was on my college buddy's Gibby Explorer, it's still a piece of shit. He bought it from HOG in Rochester NY and it could NOT be made to maintain tuning. At all. Probably what steered me away from Kahlers back in the late 80's. Just my .02 but make it 2300 or 7300 Series or leave it alone (or put a 1996T, Original Floyd or a Schaller Lockmeister on it! )

HSB0531 Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 Hey, I got an idea: Buy it for 1/8th the price citing the butchery/asshat-ery done, remove the offending trem, add a standard bridge and a...wait for it...4th P-90 to fill in the rest! Add a 16-way rotary switch and...err...never mind 🤣
