Shit, I never trash them. Everywhere I move, bass players hold the music scene hostage because none of us can find them, and they know it. 

I don't know how many times in the last 15 years that the bassist made more than I did off a gig.

Playing bass has gotten me FAR more gigs over the years than being a guitar player!
