Disturber Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 I finally got a T-62! Yes! I've had GAS for one for years. Super dude JJ Paul sent this one to me and it arrived yesterday. He described the condition as "good". But it's better than good, it's has been played, but very carefully taken care of. Almost like new The guitar is loaded with Häussel pickups. And I have to say they sound superior. (JJ sells them if anyone is interested). I've missed my Centaura since I sold it in 2000. The T-62 has almost the exact same body so it feels like a found a long lost friend again. Great neck, medium wide, not small and thin. It feels very nice. Lot's of tone and great craftmanship, as always with Hamer. Tom Anderson owners will cry when I tell them what I paid for this one Now for the oblicatory pics: Very SRV this one. To bad I can't say that about my playing style... Champagne coloured logo. Now that is an extra 10 points in style! Nice flamed maple, pics don't do it justice. Now I'm going to plug this one into the Super Champ and play. It sounds great with the active circuit in "off" mode, but I guess it's nice to have it there for an extra boost.
MCChris Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Easily the best looking T62 I've seen. Beauty!
belgian Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Looks fantastic (better than the regular sunbursts IMHO).Congratulations.
Steve Haynie Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 I do not intend to rain on your parade, but I have to ask-- why is there a mini-switch installed on the body rather than on the pickguard? Was there no room near the selector switch?

Was there no room near the selector switch? You are not raining on my parade, but someone at the design dept. at Hamer probably got all sad when he read your posting. The T-62's were designed this way and the miniswitch engages the active tone/boost circuit. Why the switch is not on the pickguard I don't know, but it's stock from the factory.
phoenix Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Wow! I love the color and the birds eye neck.
