veatch Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Is that headstock bound? Hard to tell in the pick...
Feynman Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I think I see a ding on it. Does that help?
atquinn Posted September 4, 2008 Author Posted September 4, 2008 I think I see a ding on it. Does that help? You're a cruel, cruel man! And yes, it's Korina, chambered I think and I'm fairly certain the headstock is not bound. -Austin
sw686blue Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 That's Jack's old one. Korina all the way baby! I don't even want to remember the price that he offered it to me for....why, oh why, did I not snap it up??? Yeah, I know, I'm a doofus! Here are some more...
atquinn Posted September 4, 2008 Author Posted September 4, 2008 So beautiful! It will be mine. Mwah HA HA HA! -Austin
BubbaVO Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I had one like that ... fell over in the stand at a gig after the bass player tripped; he then stepped on it trying to catch his balance, scratched the shit out of it. Then ... I woke up.
atquinn Posted September 4, 2008 Author Posted September 4, 2008 Then ... I woke up. Bastard. -Austin
sonic1974 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 So beautiful! It will be mine. Mwah HA HA HA! -Austin Not trying to be an ass, just genuinally curious. You have a couple of Studio Customs, does the korina make that big of a difference? Lord knows I've lusted after a cool guitar, been there many times.

It's the P90's and wraparound tailpiece, not the Korina (all mahogany would be equally appealing). -Austin
JGale Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 It looks like it has a cap on it. That would make it an Artist vice a Studio, yah? What's the deal?
bruce919 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 A dealer here needs to do a run of Artist Mahogany/Korina with Vintage Style P-90's & a Tone Pros Wrap-o-Round , & big chuny neck. You could not go round with that combo.
JohnnyThunders Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I ownd that one or one like it. It was cambered and I think had lollar pickups, forgot who I got it from nor who I sold it too? Old age sucks. Here is a blurry pick of it.
kizanski Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I ownd that one or one like it. It was cambered and I think had lollar pickups, forgot who I got it from nor who I sold it too? Old age sucks. Here is a blurry pick of it. The Muse, I think.

That would make it an Artist vice a Studio, yah? What's the deal? It's a chambered Studio like my '04 Studio (aka, an Artist without an f-hole). Even if it was a regular studio, it would still have a separate korina cap though; the way they mount the neck requires it if I remember correctly.-Austin
cmatthes Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Anything chambered requires a separate cap.
kizanski Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Anything chambered requires a separate cap.You mean it's NOT done with termites?
