Sold a Korina Special, listed on Ebay right now

Might sell a Hamer to get a different amp. I bought the Korina Special with the intent of starting a collection but the fact is I don't think I'm a collector, rather I'm a player/cork sniffer. The Special is probably the most alive guitar I own and sounds great but my practice amp is less then I was hoping it to be so my thought is to sell them both and buy a great combo amp instead (Carr Vincent or Tone King Imperial) that kind of thing.

Thoughts?

Listed on Ebay right now but will sell to a HFC memeber for $1275 shipped. Too lazy to link but it's only one listed and my user name on Ebay is the same. The Carr Vincent I played last night might me cave.

Congrats to Mr. Munky! You are getting yet another killer Hamer guitar

Might sell a Hamer to get a different amp. I bought the Korina Junior with the intent of starting a collection but the fact is I don't think I'm a collector, rather I'm a player/cork sniffer. The Junior is probably the most alive guitar I own and sounds great but my practice amp is less then I was hoping it to be so my thought is to sell them both and buy a great combo amp instead (Carr Vincent or Tone King Imperial) that kind of thing.

Why would you sell the most alive sounding guitar that you own? It sounds like you would regret it pretty fast. Why not just wait for a while and save up for the amp.

What is your non practice amp? It seems like there would be a lot of reasonable alternative for a combo amp for practice. A used DRRI, an Egnater Rebel, one of the Chinese Voxes. I find guitars much more personal than amps. There are amps I have regretted selling but never as much as some of the guitars I've let go. I had a Korina Jr. and I never would have let it go if it had a vintage neck profile. I would think very carefully before I sold it!

Well you could always buy the Jr I sold to Currypowder who sold it to someone and now I think Belgian has it, but I don't think it's for sale! Now there a bunch of HFC lore B)

+1. This is a lesson that, once learned, can be hard to live with sometimes, B)

Let's put into perspective. Are you selling something like this? http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=33292 Uh...no.

Your Korina Jr. will never even come close to being that rare, that valuable, and thus that highly sought after. BIG bucks, BIG bucks, BIG bucks.

However, not bad mouthing the Hamer Korina Junior, its a wonderful guitar. But its no legendary '59 Gib V. If you get seller's remorse down the road you'll be able to pick up another Jr. in a few months, just be patient. Or you may find something else that strikes your fancy come that time.

Don't sweat it. If you have your eye on some other piece of gear like that Carr Vincent (very cool) and this Jr. does not hold some special significance in your heart, sell.

If someone here doesn't buy this before the day is out I say "shame on all of you."

Save this machine from eBay, and buy with confidence from a great dude!

Thanks guys. I can never keep those two straight. If I was a collector at heart I'd probably need both. Great guitar still. I'd probably still keep it if not for that standard Fenyman sold me.

Vintage carve but not like a Nocaster. Grovers. It plays like a dream and sounds fabulous. I also don't think it's heavy, I'd have to guess low 7's maybe high 6's.

PM Sent. If you take PayPal and there's nothing screwy with this guitar, I just can't resist any longer. Korina makes me weak kneed. B)

If I were you I would correct the listing, because the Junior is a production guitar, while the Special is a very rare custom order. No one would likely do a search for Hamer Korina Special because they don't really exist (much).

Thanks to whomever bought this! It was causing me serious problems!

No worries dealing with Hair Follicle.

I was thinking on selling that one, since I have the special K...., but the Euromarket on used Hamers is very slow.
