murkat Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 So today I wrapped up fix'n up a guitar for a known fellow for throw'n down a few riffs or two Pleck'd, new nut, pups and switch assembly. Plays like butta. Guess who's it is?
Lockbody Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Is his last name the season that comes after Fall?
murkat Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 Is his last name the season that comes after Fall? Nope, He is famous using a reverse firebird with minnies
backinit Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Slash and Stills have a few of those me thinks.
murkat Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 Warren Haynes?DING DING ! we have a winner!
velorush Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 This one? Way cool. Probably the only non-reverse Firebird I've ever liked! And that's probably only because of who's driving it.
bizzwriter Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 What kinda pickups did you put in that bad boy, Murkat?
Punkavenger Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 I saw him play that in SB ... sounded better than his Les Paul and I immediately wanted one.
santellavision Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 DING DING ! we have a winner! So what do I win? A free PLEK would be nice?
cmatthes Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Saw the Pretenders at the Warner Theatre in DC tonight. James Walbourne was playing a black late '60s Firebird just like that, but with the whammy.Sounded ungodly great!

Yup, the very one. BB3 @ 8.61 rz ohm load, BB2 @ 8.17 rz ohm load, just like the old set matched. 11/50 GHS burnished string set. Tone pros with heavy T/P, medium action. Stock pots and caps. Thanks Unca Greg...... your still a looker as well in my book
Joe G Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 I think Warren was playing that one when he was playing with the Dead at Madison Square Garden a couple of months ago. Awesome!
