Underrated classic chord-based riffs

some of these aren't very complicated primarily only a step apart ("Sunshine of Your Love" being a definitive example) but they seem to have held up over the decades. What I'm thinking is these songs would the ones on which I would whomp out chords just for fun on air guitar or on a real guitar if warming up.

"Move Over"-Steppenwolf

"Dirty Women" (outro)-Black Sabbath

"Blister on the Moon"- Taste (featuring Rory Gallagher)

"Worlds Away"-Pablo Cruise (song also includes a great break by David Jenkins)

"Turn to Stone"-Joe Walsh & Barnstorm

More as I think of 'em; feel free to contribute

Styx Suite Madame Blue immediately came to mind.

I remember trying to wank on this when I was first learning bar chords. Really bombastic, bad stuff (from my fingers). :D

This video shows Tommy Shaw playing a really cool Hamer doubleneck guitar with Boomers, though.

Alvin Lee - I'd Love to Change the World

Eric Clapton -Tales of Brave Ulysses

Definatly not under-rated though. But these are the two I been most recently fooling with.

Robert Cray has many I like also. Though he gets carried away with box patterns, I still dig him though.

Substitute: The Who

All Right Now (I need to learn that one of these days)

Not underrated, but classics:

Smoke on the Water

Cat Scratch Fever

Just about any of EVH's stuff. Love his chord and melody writing even more than his lead work. Ain't Talkin Bout Love, two chords and call it a song.

+1. During band warmups I almost can't help myself from playing the beginning of Running With the Devil. Wish I could play the rest of it. :D

Whenever I test out a new piece of guitar gear, I almost always play Joe Walsh's In the City. Love those chords.

We added that to my band's set. It went over great. Love that song!!
