DavidE Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 -- Actor Bob Denver, 70, of TV's "Gilligan's Island" fame has died, his agent tells The Associated Press.
MCChris Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Is Russell Johnson still among the living (even though he hasn't looked like it since the late '70s)?
silentman Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 The Real Gilligan's Island put him over the edge. Loved Gilligan's Island as a kid.

Jeff R Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 The typical early Sunday morning at my house includes me, my coffee, my boys and I watching Three Stooges and Gilligan's Island reruns, the same reruns I used to watch as a little boy with my grandfather before he passed on.Thanks. You will be missed.
princeofdarkness56 Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Silly show, but he made people laugh and at the end of the day, that ain't bad.

Bob P Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Sorry Greg but my vote is for Marie Ann in Gingers dress for a night (you remember that episode where Mary Anne thought she was Ginger) and then when she wakes up....Marie Ann for life. How did that song go - "I wanna be loved by you, by you and nobody else but you. I wanna be loved by you alone....poo poo pee do".Hot chick, all the coconut cream pie you can eat, poo poo pee doo indeed.RIP Gilligan.
stobro Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Does anyone else here know the Gilligan character's full name- first and last?-Brandon
stobro Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Bingo! As I recall, First Mate Willie Gilligan's full name was never mentioned in the show, unlike Professor Roy Hinckley and Skipper Jonas Grumby. In the '80's I heard a radio interview with Sherwood Schwartz where he revealed Gilligan's name.-Brandon
iownit4 Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I loved that show when I was a kid!!! I also used to love Marie ann too...
kurtsstuff Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Bless Bob.....and Mary Ann is hot but....way too much resemblance to my kid sister so....she was never an inspiration for the pre teen self abuse sessions.....too weird....
JohnnyB Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Is Russell Johnson still among the living (even though he hasn't looked like it since the late '70s)?Russel is 81, and has his own website that has a little tribute to Bob Denver.
JohnnyB Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Ginger for a night, Mary Ann for life. Ginger for a night??? I'd hope it would be a long night. You guys keep going on about how hot Mary Ann was?
