sixesandsevens Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 One of my top three favorite guitars and on the "never" sell pile. I put "never" in quotes because there is no such thing, but things would have to get really bad for me to sell it. Now you've got me worried because "pile" isn't in quotes!
Bloozguy Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 You really have to play one to understand, but basically it's a matter of the three primary ingredients (oversized chambered body, stock pickup choice, Fender scale length) simply working together extremely well. This... And of course... Because they fucking rule. This one's definitely in my "never sell" "pile." Thanks to elduave for being one of the ultimate enablers!
bubs_42 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Anyone else have a badass Superpro?Amps paid off and Phantom Project almost covered. Next up.... SUPERPRO!!!
django49 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 This is probably a tease, as I am not planning to sell. But you are on the trail of something good. Good luck with finding a great one.
velorush Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Anyone else have a badass Superpro?Amps paid off and Phantom Project almost covered. Next up.... SUPERPRO!!!I want to be Bubs when I grow up! Willcutt's still got three left out of all of those they posted on eBay - one Jazzburst and two Aztec Gold.
bubs_42 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I still have to sell a guitar too. That's ok though I have other that cover that kinda ground.
bubs_42 Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 BUMPAGE for a great thread that needs more PRON!!! :0
MarkF786 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I wonder how the SuperPro compares to the Talladega Pro. On paper, they are very similar guitars.Has anyone compared the two?

carfish7 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I played the one at Willie's today. What a resonant, vibey, overpriced thing it was!OK, overpriced by used pricing standards..............335 tones though? Really?!? I didn't plug it in, but I'm skeptical.

I don't think it will have 335 Tone's, but I bet it sounds huge!
kizanski Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 All I'm saying is Hamer released the Talledega, and then released Jol Dantzig.
bubs_42 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 One thing is for sure Hamer needs to revamp the Website.
bubs_42 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Love mine, doesn't seem to matter what type of amp I play it thru. That one is setting a bar for me and its going to be tuff to match. What a looker!
MarkF786 Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 All I'm saying is Hamer released the Talledega, and then released Jol Dantzig.Put down the crack pipe.I owned a very nice chambered Monaco Elite - great guitar - but my Talladega Pro stomped all over it.I ended up selling the Monaco Elite when I got my Gibson R8. It was a tough call but I ultimately preferred the R8. Now I'm looking to sell the R8 - to buy a Talladega!Granted, I'm a bit of a newb having only owned four Hamers and only playing a couple other ones owned by friends, but I think the Talladega Pro is their crowning achievement. The only thing I'd change about it is making the bridge adjustable, which I did by installing a Pigtail bridge.

bubs_42 Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 This one? Yep that one. Most Newer Hamers Tops just don't make me wanna whip my wallet out.
