Steve Haynie Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I was starving at lunch time today. The grocery store deli had fried bologna today. That was today's lunch-- in Wyldbil's honor! 8 Quote

Biz Prof Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 If it ever makes it back to NC and into my hands, I will make a special trip to my alma mater to hang it over this guy's shoulders for a nice photo op: 1 Quote

Feynman Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Okay, I laughed. You beat me to a funny idea I had, but I deserve it. It's here, safely with me. I'm trying to arrange a photo release from the Army, but it's not looking good. Fingers are crossed though. I should know soon. 2 Quote
humfree Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Is any guitar really safe with you? 3 Quote
T-51Fred Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) Hey guys--I've been here a few years and seen a bit about Wyldbil. Can you share some history about Bill for those of us who didn't know him? I've seen a post about this guitar making a tour last year, I think. I love the idea and would be honored to carry the spirit of your beloved friend to a jam here in upstate NY. Perhaps at a jam at Arlo Guthries church not to far from here, or a local open mike. Happy to carry the torch for your beloved departed and pass it on. Edited November 18, 2015 by T-51Fred 1 Quote

Steve Haynie Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Bil was a fun guy on this board who made many friendships. He traded a bit with many people here. There have been a couple more people who have died. We remember them in different ways. 2 Quote
BTMN Posted November 18, 2015 Author Posted November 18, 2015 This is the same thread. I saw your reply before but the guitar was headed West at the time and has made it's way to Arizona at the moment with Feynman. I have a plan to send it Cali way next followed by a West coast fling and then turn it back through through the Midwest and to the Northeast before a run back South to me again. It has been out there since March of 2014 with HFCers. Pages 14- 15 have some great videos and photos. We need more! Wyldbil is HFC Hall of Fame. 6 Quote
phoenix Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Bill was immune to sarcasm or board hatred. He simply couldn't see it from his elevated state of being cool. Dude was awesome. thankful he came to my house. 6 Quote

cynic Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 It's three wall switches...you can't remember what each does?Great pics...the WPS5 must exude the 'tude. 1 Quote
Steve Haynie Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 The wall switches must be labeled as a courtesy to guests. The photos of the girls with WBS5 are cool. 2 Quote
Feynman Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Ha - the wall switch labels are from my daughters - the left one says "Don't Touch!" They kept forgetting and shutting off important things I had plugged in to a switched outlet. I have long since moved all of those things to their own dedicated circuit, but I left the labels there since they went to the trouble of making them. 2 Quote
Hbom Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Great pictures sir, That case almost looks gift wrapped sitting under the tree. Quote
django49 Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Dem gals rok! May their Christmas be Pez (candy), hugs and rock and roll. I had a conversation with Greg G who told me the story about the guitar, the Elvis impersonator, Vegas, etc. Sounds like a good guy, even IF he seems to have tended to move on from Hamers. Quote
BTMN Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) I have a switch like that that folks like to turn off absentmindedly. Guitar looks well and I bet it sounds real funky with some Classical Guitar played on it. Edited December 25, 2015 by BTMN Quote
