dgstandard Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Murkat #1. I have had him work on my stuff several times...first class work and fair. Great guy to talk to as well. Couldn't ask for more if I had to.
gtone Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Murkat/Jay is a very capable, skilled and trustworthy luthier. Don't hesitate or worry for a second leaving ANYTHING with him...
ghamerinfrance Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I do neither live in Nashville, nor in the States...but after this post (and experience), you could ask only one question :Why are there other Luthiers than Jay in Nashville ?
cmatthes Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Well, there ARE a LOT of guitars in Nashville...Jay is the most trustworthy, honest, fair and skilled guy I've ever had the pleasure of working with for anything repair related. Great guy.

bubs_42 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Jeez you guys - just give him a big wet kiss and rub his nuts already. Hey he does things quick, correct and has patients to deal with nobodys all the time. He's a freaking saint. We nailed Phantom #1 and hope to get down to Nashville to finish off Phantom #2.
hamerhead Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 YOU rub his nuts then. He's done (I think) 5 for me. No complaints. In fact, his work has always been quite awesome. No rubbing required.
Guest gearwhore Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 well my minor touch up just went to major overhaul ..but that is why I sent to him ...just in case it was worse than it looked ...its in the right hands
LordsoftheJungle Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Unless you like cool shit that sounds good, don't send anything to him...
