Once upon a time, playing out was easier. Or not.......But it sure sounded good when matched up with a pair of speaker cabs, each channel using a different combination of speakers and power tubes. Total overkill.  My back would not take that abuse any more! All assuming there was an actual venue open and worth dragging it out for.

Today, a simple 1 x 12 combo with a single pedal in front and 18 watts instead of 120 does just fine if/when the opportunity again arises. But fun to reminisce about the "good old days" anyway,

Well, I do have a couple of Burrito guitars, though they're not quite so literal. :P

One of the best feelings in the world: reclaiming a guitar you left over at a band mates at the onset of pandemic 5 months ago and having it play fantastically; even seemingly imbuing you with guitar god-like prowess for the session.

All kidding aside, it was awesome and I did play better for the 20 minutes I used it. Good to have it home. Look forward to being able to take to back and actually use it in rehearsal with my band mates.

I just bought an EBMM Silhouette Special of the 'Verb for what I think was a reasonable amount of scratch.

I've never owned an EBMM.  Where would one of y'all place the over/under for when I'll probably sell it?  Haha.

I've gotten better.  Probably 75% of my stuff I've had for at least two years now, but that 9th and 10th guitar slot still seems to rotate pretty quickly.

You can spend all day dialing in your tone, but that sound guy out front still has the final say-so on what people hear.

Consider re-dialing the tone from last week! B)

Just when I thought 2020 was done with us.....

I think I want an archtop. I tried a Gibson Byrdland which turned out to be too short scaled for me. L-5 also I so expensive. I don't want imports. I want some nice vintage vibe. I will circle around for a long time about this. Sorry for all that brain dumb but since this is a random thoughts thread, here's my two cents.

No imports? Well, in Germany some things would not be considered imported. (The 2 on the left and middle are semi-hollow, but the one on the right is a hollowbody/archtop. Thinner than an L-5, more akin to the thickness of a Byrdland, I think. But with a more normal scale. The Byrdland was near impossible for me to play due to both the very short scale and the skinny.narrow neck).

Now whether it is the proper sort of vintage vibe is a more personal thing.....

Something like an ES-175 might be a more economical way to get into a classic archtop at a more affordable price.
