And yes, you are correct, the situation has changed.

The US is still part of that Earth that is doing all of the polluting.  It still will affect the earth and the US.  We also are second at using energy, much of which is still oil and coal.  

But back to your original post.  No, I don't want to strangle a girl who stands up and speaks about what she believes in, even in jest,  over and over...  even if I disagreed with her.

"Strangling Energy" needs to be added to the HFC list of expressions with "350!" and "Can you describe its acoustic voice?"
