Steve Haynie Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Are those split blocks on the Hamer just like on the Ibanez?
Brentrocks Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 At least Folger's is a manly coffee. ... Isn't it?
HamStd Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Are those split blocks on the Hamer just like on the Ibanez? Yes indeed. I'd agree too. Hamstd
Biz Prof Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Never really thought much about it before, but I really like the extended headstock on that custom Standard. Makes me think I'd pull the trigger on a 3+3 Blitz if they'd been produced with that feature. As they are, their original headstock design seems out-of-proportion compared to the body (too short and stubby looking). It also speaks volumes as to Hamer's reputation with touring pros (even average players like Mr. Eisen) that they'd pay for these guitars they really wanted whilst (likely) being offered other makers' models for free.

tmsfo Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 I just picked this baby up recently. You think Prototype pickup rings are hard to find? Try to score a pickup cover for this sucker!

Roughly $1,550 in 2014 dollars. Still, Paul got a helluva deal. ;-)
HANGAR18 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Glad to see that model back after all the shitty crap he's been endorsing for the last couple of decades... To me, Paul Stanley is the only person who looks "normal" playing an Iceman.

Brentrocks Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I think I could look good behind this one DUDE....that is fucking amazing
LordOfTheThighs Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Some Iceman action. (If only fleeting shots) (Crank It Up)
LordOfTheThighs Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Unless Ibanez is going to release a third Paul Stanley model, then it looks like this is it. Indonesian made. 2015 Ibanez Paul Stanley models. KISS frontman Paul Stanley has had a signature model with Washburn for a while now and has now moved to Ibanez to create a Premium (PS120) and budget (PS40) signature Iceman guitar model. The Indonesian made Premium version is the PS120 and if you take the Andy Timmons Premium model, the AT10P, as a benchmark you can expect this guitar to retail around the $1200 mark. The Ibanez PS120 features: PS 3pc Mahogany set-in neck Mahogany body/Maple top Bound Ebony fretboard w/Acrylic (not pearl like earlier PS-10s) & Abalone block inlay Medium frets Seymour Duncan’59 (H) neck pickup Seymour DuncanCustom 5TM (H) bridge pickup Full Tune III bridge/Quik Change III tailpiece Chrome hardware Inluded Gigbag
Steve Haynie Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 There must be a market of people who want a token signature model guitar who are not going to shell out for the high end stuff anymore.

cynic Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 From the ad in the OP, there are going to be three models, which leaves room for a MIJ version."Now, for the first time since 1996, Paul and Ibanez have reunited to re-issue three exciting new versions of the original Paul Stanley Signature Model."
BCR Greg Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 There is a market....Paul Stanley tribute guys. Every town has two.
