I was thinking that they might have been counting on word getting back to Jol and Frank about how the brand they built up was disrespected in the end.

A little off topic here as were talking about this beautiful Hamer Standard of Jeurgen's but may I ask............... Steve................... I always wondered how was it that you were able to get records of the Hamer guitar serial numbers?...................are those copies or the original records or  ........................I know your " SERIAL" Steve so maybe that explains it. ;)

Let's put any more discussion of this in a new thread, please!

Hi, the Standard got lots of interest so far, but no good offers yet.....

Fortunately I have less pressure to sell as someone temporarily helped me out, but unfortunately I still need the money.

It goes to the first one offering US 5500$ or Euro 5000€.

Cheers, J.

Priced right. Should have sold by know. But the expensive stuff can take a while to find the right buyer for I guess. Gdwts.

Sold. Thanks for watching.

Congrats to the new owner and the seller.

Same guitar and description, still claiming to be in Germany and not Liverpool (UK). Looks very suspect.

I wouldn't risk it.

Anyone in the family who wants to compensate a missed out Ultimate with a 4-digit?

Who's got it?

ETA: Congrats you've sold it tschebbi.

Same description as before I think. Must be a scam. The price is way to low as well, to lure in opportunists.

"I'm the original owner and purchased the guitar in June 1980 in Germany (original sales receipt included)."

That auction's closed now, it has a notice saying:

"This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing."

I wonder what the error was? ;) I'll bet that guy got a crapload of messages using the words 'fraud' and 'scam', at least I hope so. <_<

so this is some scam, right? someone hijacked the pics? Happened to me years ago when I was thinking of bidding on a vintage standard with a sustain clock bridge in England (ebay co.uk) and Peter told me he was pretty sure the guitar in question was well at ease in southern CA.
